The Composite Ore can be found in carts around 56,27 & 59,31. Also make sure you have the Nozzlerust Defense quest at the same time.

Warning, The Quest Is For Both HORDE and ALLIANCE, even though it is incorrectly stated above that it is for Alliance Only.

ALSO while doing this quest i was unable to find the ore, does it spawn inside the Huge Crater or In the Smaller Ones?

just did this quest, very easy

however.. take it slow, and also have the quest Nozzlerust defence aswell (as there the mobs to kill for that quest)

there are two locations for them, one at (56,27) and other at (58,31) they look like mine carts,3-4 in each place.

I did mine with ease at (59, 31).

The Wastes Diggers are not a bad choice if you are trying to AoE-grind for experience or Frostweave Cloth. Just watch out, their Carnivorous Bite, when stacked, is seriously deadly.

Just a little tidbit you outta know if youre gonna do this quest: the undead miners have a rend ability that stacks and does ALOT of damage if you get more than 2 or 3 stacked on you.

No rep, no reward, mobs that respawn fast and hit too hard with a long agro radius around slow spawning quest items. PASS THIS ONE.

well i dont know if this quest is bugged but when i went to do it, i couldnt find a single cart, i looked every where.

I havent tested this out, but it seems like the pit to the east of Galakrond's Rest has the fastest respawn rate for the ore carts. They all seemed to have 10-30 sec respawn time.

I have spent almost 4 hours in the area, coming back to especially one of the sites (which was pointed out by my questhelper), but not once did I see any carts or ores.
Since every time I came to the location, I saw the same mob having been killed recently, I assumed someone was logging in regularly in order to farm the ore, so I desided to stay around and watch for when the cart would spawn again.

I was there for little over one hour, but I didn't see any carts spawn, nor did any players stop by.

I don't know what's wrong, but I won't be completing this quest today it seems.

Any thoughts on what was the reason that I couldn't find any ore or carts?

Confirming what was said above. I picked up the quest around 04:45, yup, smackdab in the middle of the night/early morning. Flew to the smaller clyft and picked up the first ore, then two from the larger one bit southeast of the first.

Waited five-ten minutes for pop, nothing happens, so I went and did the giant/goblin quests in the Vice, and a few others. Each time I handed in quests I flew past to have a quick look. 45mins later there's still no ore respawns. I havn't seen anyone else flying or questing in this area.

The quest itself work, since the ore is there, the respawn however.. does not. When writing this I've just spent another ten minutes waiting and nothing happens, no other player around either.

Wtf.... I have 7/8 ores now, some respawn... I CANT PICK THEM UP. They are just click-through now. Just my luck to have /8 when that happens... -_-

One of the most frustrating quests for a mage! The Wastes Diggers respawn at a high rate and does not allow for drinking and eating (especially when using the fire tree). Best to use frost tree and try not to run through, just gather ore by running up and down entrances.

I believe there is a cap on the total number of carts that can be spawned at any one time. At each of the 4 dig sites, there are about 4 spawn points - but there can only be a total of 4 carts out at once. If you're having trouble finding any carts, go to each of the other spawn areas marked on the map - you should find that as you take one cart, it becomes possible for another to spawn - if not at your current location then at one of the others. I was flying a circuit between three of them for ages before I remember the 4th spawn area... when I got there, all of the spawn points had carts on them - which explained why none of the other areas had any at all....

The Wastes Diggers spawn very quickly .... and protect each other ... had to vanish a few times as a 75 rogue

Found at these locations. MOB's respawn really fast. 56.3, 27.6 and 58.3, 30.4

The DoTs were killing me! Well, not really, but they were eating up hp's like they were going out of style. Not to mention the quick respawn.

I went aroung tot he different sites and cherry picked the ones closest to the edges and got my 8 pretty quickly.

for me, the carts did not always appear at some spawn points. there are four places altogether; the above coords are correct. go back and forth in between these spots and you'll find some carts.

To say that the respawn rate is fast is an understatement. These respawn almost as soon as they die. Pain in the ass quest.

Hello hello! The Scourge to the south are digging up some ancient dragon thing. I could care less why they're doing it, but they're pulling cartloads of composite ore in the process.

Go lift me a bunch of that ore. That stuff should yield a pretty penny for all the weapons the Horde are crafting.
