It seems this quest is completely bugged. There are no nodes anywhere in the area.
I've been checking now and then for two days now and nothing has appeared.

Entrance to the Whisper Gulch is at around 33,35

Check your inventory. Use the Steelring's Foolproof Dynamite on the ores. From the exploding fragments you get like 4 small lootable piles, gems or ores.

While doing this quest, I received two NPC whispers:

Unknown voices whispers: You are a pawn of forces unseen.
Unknown voices whispers: They have turned against you. Now... take your revenge.

Was working fine when I just did it. You blow up the node and get 5 (2 or 3 gem/ore) per node.

Every time I did this I recieved 1 ore and 3 gems per vein

This means you'll need to pop 6 veins if you are doing the quest on your own.

Remember to take Send Them Packing at the same time and use a "/raise" emote within 5 yards of any mules you pass.

...or one of "Two Wrongs..." prerequisites is a prerequisite to this quest.

Upon completing the quest at the NPC, I found a typo. In the second line, there is "we wnon't use that stuff after all." I thought Blizz had spell checkers. :D

When I got the ore & crystals and whatever, I got this: Strange Feeling. It went off when I finished the Quest. Kind of odd...

I did this with Send Them Packing and was done very quickly :) Haha, even got Friendly with the Explorer's Expedition from the reward :)

A couple of things:
1) The nodes that you need to target do NOTHING when you mouse over them. They look like sparkling Iron Deposits (at least it looks like an Iron Deposit to me), if it helps anyone who can't find them even though they're searching in the right area.
2) Typo in the Completion text! It should be "won't", not "wnon't".

The whispers are definitely from Yogg-Saron. You get a quick debuff right as you receive the whisper that says 'Whisper Gulch: Yogg-Saron Whisper'.

You can pull mobs from the ores, but you can throw first at ore, you see little nice effect to see mobs rolling away from the impacts. Although it has no damage at him. :(

I was able to access this quest (and "Send Them Packing"), only after having completed the following quests:

"Shoveltusk Soup"
"The Clutches of Evil"
"One Size Does Not Fit All"
"Two Wrongs..."

The quest is fairly easy.Just kill the dwarves first then throw 2 bombs and pick up the pieces that are left on the ground from the rock.

Hitting Deranged Explorers with Steelring's Foolproof Dynamite causes them to be knocked over for about 1 second.

It seems to be bugged atm, I have all 18 gems and 5 of the ores- but the ores are no longer lootable. I use the explosives and the shards that come out are not lootable.

Just to Clarify:

Getting There:
Whisper Gulch is underneath Westgarde Keep. It is Underneath and to the North to be exact. If you can't figure out how to get there, don't worry. I will tell you. There is an opening that you can access from the water. Water Entrance.

Before I tell you how to reach the area from the water, you can also do some jumping down if you care too.

Jumping Method:
-Go North of the Keep to a bridge.
-Look for another bridge underneath the one you are standing on. Jump down to it.
-Get your health back up, and jump into the river below.

River Methods:

Zeppelin:

There is a Zeppelin that rides by the docks every once in a while. It takes you over the water. Once you are over, jump, and swim into the gulch.

Utgarde Keep:

Travel to Utgarde Keep. There is a river outside of it, in the back. Jump into it and swim west!

Northward Bound:

Travel north along the cliff edge (past the bridge.) until you see a path leading to the beach. Take it and travel south into the Gulch.

How the Quest Works:
It's really simple. Grab the item that came with the quest, find ore formations with sparkles coming out of it, and then use your item on it.

You simply click the item and a green AoE circle appears. Position it above the rocks and presto!

You can opt to kill the dwarf mining the ore before or after exploding the ore, but I recommend before. Why? It's incredibly funny to see the dwarf sent tumbling head over stubby heels by the explosion.

I don't understand this, but I just got friendly w/ the explorer's league & was going to start this quest line but sapper isn't offering the quest yet. Apparently you have to be more than friendly with them to get the quests, so what rep do you need to be at?

If you turn your sound up, and listen carefully, you can hear that the whispers are all voiced.

Simple quest, just kill the miner in front of each deposit first, then bomb and loot, that's it. Some of the fragments are small so look for the sparkles. And have 'send them packing' as a side quest unlike me who did it first...doh (lfmf). Use a macro: /raise for 'send them packing' , makes it dead easy.

Interesting bit of trivia for you folks doing this quest simply for the debuff and random whispers; The voice acting for Yoggy was done by Jamie Price who also did Shade of Aran, Sartharion, Thorim and Lord Jaraxxus. :)

Just west of Westguard Keep, there is a ravine find the way down into it and there is ore all around.. blow up the ore and click on the pieces.

Cross the bridge north of Westguard Keep. There's are two paths down: one that starts at 33,33 and one that starts at 37,36.

Follow the path down and destroy the sparkling rocks with the Steelring's Foolproof Dynamite

(Make sure you got the Send Them Packing quest, you can complete it in the same area).

<name>, the captain's tasked me with a mission. I'd like you to help.

A bunch of my fellow Explorers' League people went nuts digging up stuff in the Whisper Gulch just to the north. They're attacking anyone trying to get in!

The captain is only concerned with the ore for the keep. Lucky for us, I have just the thing to do the trick.

Get in there, blow up the ore, and bring it back along with any gems you find. Running this place isn't cheap you know!

I gotta warn you though, that ore is strange!
