but all i had done was forget to accept the quest at the hidden shrine. go back there, click she cog on the shrine again and accept. then try to complete the quest...

To do this quest you just need to go to 50,75 near Mystral Lake then use your Rod to transform to the furbolg and speak with Krolg ( he wouldn't speak with you until you don't transform to the furbolg form ) ...

Simply loop around the base of the hill as you leave Shael'dryn. You'll come to a winding path leading back up the hill. The shrine is at the end of that trail in the case of a tree.

After giving Shael'dryn the key and accepting the next part of the quest, she did not give me anything.

can you abandon this quest and put the rod in the bank then comeback and retake the quest? That way you could keep the rod indefinatley and still complete the quest?

The Hidden Shrine is northwest of Raynewood Retreat. You'll find yourself going up into the mountains.. and there is indeed a path. It just takes a little looking for. My coordinates for the Hidden Shrine were 56,49.

The Hidden Shrine isn't a building but rather a large stone with a small hole and a glowing inside the hole.

The previous comments for this particular quest had me going all over the place. I found the Shrine and hopefully my comment helps you find it too.

When you leave the Shaedryl, you're going west (left), then the path bends south (down), follow that until you can turn left (east) along the bottom of the mountain. You will enter a large open area with a lot of bears. Go east a little more until you are a little to the left of and exactly even (top to bottom) with the words Raynewood Retreat. Imagine if it said "The Raynewood Retreat", you'd be standing about the 't' or the 'h'.

Now turn north (left). You will come to a narrow path. You are traveling du north. This sort of dead end's where a root is sticking up out of he ground vertically. Veer/turn right here. You will see a faint path. This path wides around the top of a hill. You start at the bottom (6 o'clock) and follow the narrow 'ledge' to the left (counter clockwise). At the top of the path is a tree. The shrine in the base of the tree.

That's it!

if you go through raynewoods retreat and stay to the left as you meet the bears stay to the left and you see an alcove up out of the alcove to the left over the hill at cords 56,49

everyone says you'll lose the rod if u complete quest and i dont think quest worth losing this rod.

The hidden path that leads to the shrine starts at 56,51, just follow up till the path ends.

From here on after completing this quest, you can abandon the follow-up, if you intend to keep the rod for fun. The rod won't disappear if you abandon the quest. :)

It is at 56.59 but to get to it you run up a winding path.
The path starts about 55,51. look for the path because to find the shrine
will drive you crazy :) without the path to it.

Well this is one long quest but it has been fun doing it. There are two rocks with a log in the middle of them next to the road to the left right before Raewood Retreat (sorry about the spelling).

Turn up that path and the hidden shrine is up there just follow the path and it will lead you to it....the path winds around a big tree that takes you up there.

**Very Important** After you click on the rock the first time you must click on the rock again to continue the quest, then head back to the moonwell to turn it in.

OK , this really sucks. I went through the motions of this PITA quest just for this rod & now I either have to keep the quest until I get tired of carrying the rod around or lose the rod when I drop the quest. Grrrrrr.............

the quest says the shrine is in the mountains SE of the glade, but you have to be looking north to find it. It's absolutely correct. There is a path (not of stone, but of grass that looks shadowed) curving around one of the mountains directly SE of the glades (on the side of the mountain facing AWAY from the glades, hence the "looking north" part of the quest). The shrine is simply one of the stones with a glowing light in the middle, and it's hidden in a hollow tree, but the path leads right to it. If you enlarge your map to the max, it shows the path quite well.

For those worried, handing in this quest does not destroy or remove your Dartol's Rod of Transformation. It is not until the final quest Raene's Cleansing that you must accept handing in the rod in order to complete the quest.

When you are leaving Shael'Dryn, on the way down on the on take the path on the left to the "neighbour" mountain at 53.54 on the left again. Just follow the path on the right side you should see a path going to a mountain at the coord people suggested.
