that would be good for pvp, but I think that this guy is a nice simple guy that can silence for a bit with a 40 sec cooldown, looks like hes good for caster bosses in instances, like the final boss in MGT.

Only really good on healers the damage ones have a long cast but having to kill a guy longer is annoying and is a waste of time and energy,mana,rage,runic power

Does anyone know if the Interrupt effect from Nether Shock works on Raid bosses? If it does, Nether Rays might be useful for managing things like Kel'thuzad's single-target Frostbolt.

On a different note: Nether Rays are used by Shattera's eye in the sky. It makes me feel proud that on my hunter when i dismount my nether ray for combat: Surprise! That Nether Ray is now killing your enemy!

Awesome pet for @#$%ing people off in PvP. Sure, his silence doesn't really do all that much, but interrupting a cast can have pretty drastic effects, especially when you watch the warrior in front of you die from not getting the heals he needed, or getting your DK guildie mad when you win a duel against her because she's silenced.

But other than that, I'd rather have a bird of prey for the disarming, or a bat for the stun.

Hey, just to let you know, I am currently a BM hunter at level 69 now, and I dont know about you guys, but my cunning pets do way more dps than ferocity pets now due to the Wolverine Bite cunning pets can now get. In randoms with some buffs, (like kings on me and might on my pet) on a boss i can pull around 1400 dps, and normally around 52-59% of my dps is my pet. I tested out a couple of cunning pets, and the ones that seem to the most damage is the Nether Ray, and its strange because its CD on its ability is 28 seconds. Strangely enough my Sporebat is one of my highest DPS pets, then followed by the Chimaera and then my raptor (which is my backup pet if the boss does alot of damage to pets.)

So I guess since the change on Wolverine Bite, I see cunning pets the #1 on dps again, but ferocity not much behind.

Best PvP silencer combination ever, Blood Elf (Arcane torrent- interrupts and silences for 2 sec with a 2 minute cooldown) Marksman hunter(Silencing shot interrupts and silences for 3 sec with a 20 second cooldown) with Nether ray (Nether Shock interrupts and blocks school of casting for 3 sec with a 40 second cooldown) (A Gorilla has an identical ability) that is a total of 8 seconds silence/ interupt, that is plenty of time to get that kill.

pet does not wait for boss to cast, it spams the interrupt. so it's useless on autocast.

i don't see many people using these nowadays, for pvp its mostly spiders/monkeys and for pve i usually see wolfs

Effective interrupt seeing as how the pet has multiple speed increasing abilities, not just Dive. The interrupt has a 20 yard range, so I suggest you keep this off the Auto-Cast if you're in most cases to choose when you use that 40 second cooldown.

The Aether Rays are also tameable and have been since 4.0 but they aren't listed in the list of tameable nether rays or the gallery of skins. Not that it's important because hunters don't seem to use these often but just a heads up for anyone who likes the aether ray's gold skin like I do.

Looked like a mistype. NetherRaySkinBlue is looked like green, but NetherRaySkinGreen is looked like blue.
