This mob has a nasty Flame Breath(don't stand in front), does a Fear Bomb(don't tank near other mobs), and will also eat the tank (kind of like magmaw's mangle) for a few seconds, so the OT should taunt him.

Gives 55 rep with Avengers of Hyjal (assuming guild bonuses). Collapses and begins to smolder after killing. Unlike the MC version, doesn't seem to need AoE'd down afterward to finish him off though.

Ancient Core Hound

This mob has several abilities, and can be tanked with 1 tank, if you use your cooldowns at the right time.

-> Flame Breath: Frontal cone attack, don't stand in it.
-> Dinnertime: The tank gets eaten by one of the core hounds heads and takes more damage, if you have an off-tank he should taunt and take over, untill the off-tank himself gets eaten, then the main tank taunts again. etc
-> Terrifying Roar: Instant 4 seconds fear.

If you kill them while they are standing on a lava patch, the emote, 'Ancient Core Hound begins to smolder" will appear and they will become unlootable/unskinnable. If you pull them onto a path before killing them, you will still be able to loot them.

The Ancient Core Hounds and the giants still give 55 Avengers of Hyjal rep after Honored. The rest of the trash mobs stop giving rep at Honored.

The AoE fear (Terrifying Roar) will almost always be cast immediately after the hound uses Dinner Time on it's primary threat taget.

Tremor Totem and other fear immunity/removal affects should be timed accordingly.

yeah it gives 55 rep if you have the guild perk if not it only gives 50. it was confusing me on why i wasnt getting 55 but i figured it out.
