How about someone PLEASE post a comment explaining how to start this whole series? Where do you find the NPC to start them?

I tried going to the NElf post on the border to Feralas, but all there is there is constant fighting. Even if I clear all the Grimtotems around a Sentinel, they just stand there and wait for a respawn.

I've been to that outpost several times and I agree. There's either something wrong, or the NPC is located elsewhere. Somebody please, find her!

This Sentinel is a custom spawn that appears after performing a few prerequisite quests, starting with Save The Sentinel, which is unlocked after getting Free Freewind Post. The Sentinel will spawn in as soon as you step on the bridge going to Darkcloud Pinnacle after completing the rescue quest.

I actually had to do all goblin quests and the centaur quests for both factions before I was able to go to the place where you start "Save the Sentinel". Those mobs are standing at the bottom where the old way leading up to "Freewind Post" used to be at (still there, but water everywhere).

Just did this on Alliance side today, and yes, you have to do all the prerequisites before you will get the quest to save the "captured Feralas Sentinel". Start at the speedbarge in the Shimmering Deep and do all the Gnome quests, including the ones to get the oil rights from the Centaur. When you've done them all you get sent to help a NE Sentinel and then you get this chain. It's great if you're trying to grind out some Darnassus rep.

I had no trouble getting this, the idea for alliance is I think that you start with a speedboat ride from New Thalanaar in Feralas, do the quests on the speed boat and eventually return to mid zone to do the quests this npc offers.

WoW Cata levling is much more streamlined than classic, but also much more linear.

I like the idea of having a companion with you, killing elites. Ill miss her :( She was pretty kickass. Sentinel with heroic leap AND evasion.

Seriously such a #$%^&. Great tank and what not, but she pulls everything! I just want to stealth past all the mobs and even though she has stealth, she refuses to use it outside of battle. So I just stopped helping her with the 5-7 man mobs she pulls and guess what? She chases me down says 'Farewell for now' and leaves me with all the threat of 6 full health mobs. ARGG.
