He's the one that actually drops the loot for this fight. I guess since it's a weird encounter (he gets banished at 1%, then dies automatically when both him and Kalecgos reach 1%), the drops aren't being registered as from him.

It's very important that your tanks have as much hit as possible for this fight. Any paladin tanks you have should at the least have a macro to swap on a weapon with more hit rating before they taunt (a good, easy to get choice is the cleaver of the unforgiving from zul'jin socketed with a 10hit gem). Chain taunt resists will result in Kalecgos' human form taking too much damage and you wiping.

Two videos I made about Sunwell Plateau. It shows me (Nobbel 85 Paladin) and my buddy (Eponympf 85 paladin) duoing Kalecgos. We tried to duo Brutallus, but got our butts handed to us. Aliceinchain (85 Shaman) joins and we 3-man the rest of the instance without a problem.
I hope it gives you a few pointers.

I duo Sunwell every week with my boyfriend on some alts. I usually bring my elemental/enhancement shaman and he goes on his paladin tank.

This guy is pretty straight forward kill. We engage, paladin tanks him, I get ported inside, pop all DPS cooldowns (wolves, bloodlust, elemental mastery etc, depending on what spec I am). Sometimes if he doesn't knock me down too much I am able to kill him in one go, sometimes I have to get ported back out and stand around waiting for the debuff to be gone, then get ported back in and finish him off. He can hit rather hard on a non-tank so having some self-healing is nice unless your dps is superb and you kill him off in one go. Just make sure not to kill Kalecgos until Sathrovarr is down, otherwise it will bug out and your only choice is to hearth out of Sunwell and try again. Good luck!

He's part of the first boss fight. You go through the portal to kill him because he is corrupting Kalecgos so you kill him while living through kalecgos' attacks.

Yes you'd be wrong.
The Nathrezim are a race, there isn't just three dreadlords.
Not to mention the three dreadlords from the Frozen Thrown were Balnazzar, Detheroc and Varimathras. All but Varimathras are dead.
