It is quite unlikely he'd attack you if your hated, I'm pretty sure if you were to stand at the entrance of BB, the big shark teeth part of it and face away, he'd be down the path and to the right on a small hill, he comes up quite quickly, anyways while he's technically associated with BB, he won't attack you if your hated, or else there'd be no point in him existing except cheap rep grab.

A quick note to anyone who wants to redeem a loot card with Landro and is "Hated" by Booty Bay:

It's going to be VERY difficult right now, as the guards are all lvl 85, hit as hard as Mike Tyson, and can see through basic stealth.

I tried getting to him with the help of 2 guildies last night and the guards killed all 3 of us in about 5 seconds.

So hold on to your codes until you've levelled, methinks!

to talk to him while 80 and hated by booty bay, all you need to do is fly UNDER the dock, and you can talk to him as the guards walk over you.

looks like he didn't change to the new goblins, most likely because he uses the alpha goblin model w/ different clothing similiar to many goblin flightmasters, the same case is with shreddars

Actally, as of 4.0.6, Landro appears to have his model changed (As well as to now be wearing the purple "Black Flame" tabard). However, ~~many of the goblin flight masters~~ Peddlefeet and the Steamwheedle Sharks still use the old one.

Edit: The flight master models were changed as well.

The code(s)come from the WoW card game...special cards that have a code on them you enter in the game. They're all just fashion-pets / items...nothing helpful.

Well, that is certainly an opinion. Then there are some gamers who not only enjoy the MMORG of WOW, but are CCG players as well who might enjoy a "bonus" of one game complimenting another. If playing a CCG benefits my experiences in playing online, great. Your game playing is not affected if I do, or do not, engage in CCG playing or the benefits derived from doing so.

Where I respect your opinion, you should respect opinions contrary to yours as well.

This is pretty lame. First off, yea, a few people MIGHT like the cards.. but for the most part, we who play are here to play an online MMO.

Second if Bliz was giving these cards away for free, yea it'd be cool. But they charge for that, and now we have to purchase the expansion pack.

When WoW started, Blizzard said, "We will never charge for an expansion". Well that's to the wind.

I'll pay for the BC, but not cards, and the first chance something better comes along, Blizzard can kiss my ass.

These things have no effect on game play. If people like the stuff enough to buy the card game, it's not going to give them an advantage over someone who doesn't buy the cards. If Blizzard was really trying to squeeze money out of this they'd make it so there were epic items randomly given out. This is just a fun reward for people who buy the cards. If you think it's dumb then don't buy the cards.

I'm not going to say anything about whether I think the cards are a good idea or not... I just want to say something in the defence of the turtle mount.... Don't you think NORMAL character speed is kind of speedy for a TURTLE? Poor little things only have stumpy legs =(

Edit: Mind you... so do the Gnomes and Dwarfes and they're kind of speedy O_O... But they're smaller and carry less weight xD I'm sure if a Gnome had to carry a lardy arsed Nelf around (like me for instance) they wouldn't be going too quick either xD

Wow, I think if you examine this thread in detail, you'll notice that some of these ppl making these replys work for blizzard. Specifically I can spot 2 distinct writing styles(Being a handwriting expert I'd know). Now I can't prove this, other than my proffesional opinion, but Shadetee posted nothing but an advertisement, one that somehow had access to all those screenshots. Shadatee is what I'll refer too from now on as person number 2.

Whos's person number 1 you ask? Read on.

Notice how Luminaebanis immediatly responds to the first dissenter about what is obviously a money grubbing ploy. This is the angry writer who I will call person number 1.

Next is Sepioth who's writing style is eerily similar to Luminaebanis, and is obviously on the defensive as more ppl post anti money grubbing sentiments(I mean really, is 15$ a month to maintain servers not enough?)

The list continues with ppl who vehemently defend the idea that it's ok for Blizzard to create specific "members only" clubs for those who only buy the WOW CCG. Notice that there are only 2 distinct writing styles and tones for all the posters for the following list of names, and they are all strikingly similar. Also notice how responses to negative posts on this subject happen almost immediatly after said post...strange no?

-Cerealman responds twice and he is person number 1, just look at the short clipped, defensive phrasing. This person is upset that ppl are againt his plan to swindle money from those who want full access to a game they thought they were paying for already...ooops our bad, we didn't read anywhere on the box that we'd have to pay more to get access to all the games features.

-Kirjapan, this is person number 2 who are perpetrating this fraud of pretending to be multiple ppl. This person has less of an interest in the situation and is slightly more level headed when posting. Still one sided though, just not as angry as person number 1.

-WolfSavage(BTW stupid argument, we already pay a monthly fee for a video game, I think thats quite enough recompense to enjoy the full scope of it don't you?)

-iyenifara, kurele, and mons12all oddly similar to each other and wolfsavage don't you think? Plus these posts all happened on what appears to be the exact same time, 3 months ago as off this post. This is again person number 2.

-Roflawlmao similar to the others I've labeled number 1 eh?...this set of posters, who are all one person, must be the creator of this idea for a card game spinoff or else why would they be so mad that ppl are poo pooing it?

-Megalomaniac More of that angry posting from idea man #1.

-Flaym44 I want to mention this guy, because he subtley agrees with me. Just look at his post closely and see what he is saying in his subject. This person is neither 1 or 2, he is a thoughtful individual who is afraid blizzard will boot his account if he openly rebels. I am not afraid, cuz if they do I will sue them. I am currently working on my law degree(the handwriting analysis comes in handy BTW). Besides, I can easily chargeback every single cent I ever spent on this game if they do.

-beitasyouwill and choper...obviously number 2 again.

So in conclusion, do not purchase the WoW CCG. You are only supporting a sheisty sales tactic that excludes subscribers who do not wish to purchase the CCG from in game items that they thought they should already have full access too. BTW I fully expect this post to be deleted, and if it is, the Wow community at large will hear about it.

IF you think you can Get a Code from a Friend well you might want to think again ,,
I Believe that a Cerain Code can only Be used once And istead of Babbling on About Stupid Arguments like if Blizzard is doing this to get more money (ofc they are.)Try to help some other ppl by not having them Pay for Codes to get things and find out they won't work..
There is no 1 code for Turtle so for Example the code 000000001ABCD would not Give Everyone a Free turtle or tabard or whatever,it would give the First Person that enters the code and then it gets locked and a Different number is needed to get another.
That is how i believe they do it And they have Printed Various Codes for Same items on their Cards and not 1 Code that is same for all or even for 1 item..
Dont be Arsed into paying money for this in anycase.

This isnt a scam at all.

The cards are used in a trading card game. its almost like pokemon. its just a bonus for you if you happen to play WoW and the card game. None of the items you get from these cards are "useful" so its not harming anyone else game play. its not a scam, if anything its an added bonus for people that play the card game.

NOTE: Whenever you are about to turn in any code to Landro Longshot, always LOGOUT AND DISABLE ALL ADDONS FIRST! I learned this through personal experience and nearly had a heart attack in the process. ive been reading this forum, and for the most part its dissapointing....

for all we know Blizz may not be behind it, and frankly it doesnt matter. if u wanna buy the cards.. buy the cards, and if not... tough luck, ur out a baby gorilla or a slow ass turtle mount. as for it being a scam... i guess it is if u consider someone trying to sell u something for money a scam, if not u probably understand that that's how economy works and greed, from whom or wherever is an acceptable thing. this all reminds me of a thing a drug dealer told me once... "i aint gotta bargain with you, the drugs will sell themselves".. and since we're all terribly addicted to this game i find it strangely appropriate.

the point is if u want something, u'll buy it, guaranteed. so next time blizz asks for ur money, ask yourself, do i really want this? and if u do and u buy it, or u don't and u don't, u should have no reason to post any more "this is a scam" messages because u got what u wanted.

I would like to say something to all who will read this. 1) Asking people for codes is rude and lame, you are just as able to get them as anyone else. 2) This person telling you to give your account name and password is obviously trying to rip someone off and does not realize that him asking is very much WRONG.3) The cards can be purchased from Walmart, EBGames, and other random stores such as these.4) People who post just to correct someone else's grammar are rude and need to grow up. Oh and FYE, I'm not sure about this but it may be against the rules to tell people codes that have already been used, but even if its not, its mean. The codes are redeemable only ONCE.

Every booster pack comes with a card in it that has a code on it. It talks about UDE points. What are they used for as far as WoW is concerned?

Basically in WoW TCG there is a type of cards called Loot Cards. These are extremely rare, only 3 types of these Loot Cards. These cards can be used normally in the game, but they have this code on the card which u can enter in the game to this guy for special in-game items. The code is only usable once though. The three items you can get from these Loot Cards are Tabard of Flame, Hippogryph Hatchling pet, and Riding Turtle, a turtle mount for all levels. LEVEL 1 RIDING MOUNT OWNAGE

As of the PTR version of Classic TBC prepatch, this NPC no longer offers you any way to enter a code from the TCG. When offered his rare items, the only dialogue option is “nevermind.”
