The Sewer Frogs in Dalaran Sewers will (sometimes?) attack back at you, and therefor work like the deeprun rats does.
Note: If they start attacking you for 1 damage they will not stop again. I just meant that sometimes they will flee when starting to attack them, sometimes they will defend themselves.

As mentioned by Ikujinonai, these are a great way to raise your skill levels, especially with ranged. You can use the above macro (as long as you have auto-attack switch enabled) to kill these about every second or two. Find a good spot where you can shoot two different deeprun rat spawn points.

As far as I can tell, these only appear on the Ironforge side of the tram. Their respawn rate makes them ideal for Critter Kill Squad: buff yourself with Stormchops, bring out a Lil' K.T., Toxic Wasteling, Willy, or Lil' Ragnaros, and go do something else for half an hour.

Horde players please note that the tram is a neutral area. This means that once you enter the Deeprun Tram, you will unflag after 5 minutes without PvP activity. Even though the rats are on the IF side, it may be easier for you to fly in the SW side, because you can drop straight in versus having to funnel through the front door of IF.

These spawn on the Ironforge side of the Deeprun Tram, and the spawn rate is the highest I've ever seen. Whenever I need to train a new bow or gun, I go to the tram and kill rats. When skilling it doesn't matter what level your target is, and in the tram you can stand in one spot and watch the rats spawn faster than you can kill them. In this way, you can gain 200+ skill points in a matter of 10 minutes.

You could skill melee weapons on these guys too, but it's easier to just go out and kill low-level stuff until you're competent enough to handle creeps your own level.

If you're having trouble picking out the live rats among the piles of corpses, you can press V to turn nameplates on.

And no, I haven't hard of anyone getting rich from the incredible loot these guys fail to drop.

Dropped a Snowmaster 10k yesterday. I need to update my info, since I think I'm the first one with it. I sold it to a paladin for 150 gold plus a Righteous Orb. Got Crusader on my Ice Barbed Spear with it.

You can easily get 299/300 skill on these, 400 arrows later I'm not so sure on 300/300!
