Wowhead's Transmog Set database is now updated for Patch 7.2! Hundreds of new transmog sets are added to the database, including:
Tier 20
sets from Tomb of Sargeras
Cruel Gladiator
and
Combatant
from Season 3 Legion PvP
Broken Shore
items used in the new dungeon and zone
These sets can now be added via the
PTR Dressing Room
as well. Not sure what items match this set? Visit the "Transmogrified With" tab on any transmog set page to see the top four matches for slots like weapons and capes. Or browse the
Outfits database
to find more creative sets that mix and match transmog set appearances.
We've also made a number of improvements to the transmog set database:
Wowhead's 3D modelviewer
received many updates
during the 7.2 PTR. It now supports extra bulky armor pieces and layered gems on tier sets, and renders cape borders cleanly. Below is an example comparing the before and after on Priest Tier 19 belt and gloves:
In Patch 7.2, players earn achievements for completing full transmog sets - including capes and wrists - so we have added all of these pieces to our current transmog sets! We've also written guides to the new achievements:
Azeroth's Next Top Model - PvE Transmog Achievements
and
Azeroth's Next Top Model - PvP Transmog Achievements
.
Some sets have been renamed to follow Blizzard's naming conventions in Patch 7.2. For example, the
Season 14 Grievous
and
Season 15 Prideful
sets have separate pages now on Wowhead, and the sets from 25-player Icecrown Citadel are marked as
Sanctified
. These naming changes were made so you could look at a set in-game and then find it easily on Wowhead.
One of the unique things about Wowhead's transmog set database is the extensive amount of Recolor and Lookalike sets. With so many sets, it can be hard to keep track of everything, so we've added naming details highlighting the raid difficulty of a set (
Battleplate of Radiant Glory (Heroic Recolor)
), or what faction the PvP set is from (
Vindictive Gladiator's Satin Armor (Alliance Recolor)
). As a quick refresher on Recolor vs Lookalike - Recolor refers to alternate tints of a class tier set, while Lookalike is an indicator that any class can transmog to a tier appearance. For example,
Sha Skin Regalia (Heroic Recolor)
lists all the pieces a Warlock can collect for the Tier 14 Heroic Warlock appearance, while
Sha Skin Regalia (Heroic Lookalike)
lists items Mages and Priests can equip for the same look.
Note that all these changes are only visible on PTR Wowhead, until the patch hits on March 28th. Then the set updates will be visible on both Live and PTR Wowhead.
