The
Specchio Fuoritempo
is a new Burning Crusade Timewalking item added in 6.2.2. You can purchase it from
Cupri
in Shattrath when Burning Crusade Timewalking is active for 0
Distintivo Fuoritempo
.
This item lets you quickly teleport between similar locations in Draenor and Outland. It shaves off some transportation time, as you can travel between continents directly instead of heading back to a major city, taking a portal to Hellfire Peninsula, and then flying to your Outland destination.
If you didn't play during Burning Crusade, this is also a fun way to familiarize yourself with Outland! For more information on the holiday, check out our
Timewalking Guide
.
Since this item is so distinctive, we're writing a full article about it. We're covering all of the portal locations in Draenor and Outland with tons of maps, as well as comparisons of each Draenor/Outland area to see how the geography and lore has changed.

Portals
This part compares areas with the same name in Draenor and Outland. It's fun to see what looks similar or different in each timeline, as well as how quests and lore have changed.
Oshu'gun Spirit Woods/Fields
Oshu'gun, meaning "Mountain of Spirits" in Orcish, is a large white mountain in southwestern Nagrand in both zones. In both timelines, it crashed, bringing the Draenei to Draenor, and later became sacred to Orcs honoring their ancestors. In Outland, this ship was home to the naaru K'ure, but was recently overrun by members of the Shadow Council and Consortium members interesting in mining the mountain for gems. In Draenor, the Warsong Clan controls Oshu'gun and Cho'gall transforms K'ure. For more information, check out the
Il cuore oscuro di Oshu'gun
or
Segreto svelato
chains.
Hellfire Citadel
This portal lies near the heart of major raid zones in Outland and Draenor. In Outland, Hellfire Citadel was home to the three dungeons
Forgia del Sangue
,
Bastioni del Fuoco Infernale
, and
Sale della Devastazione
, as well as the raid
Antro di Magtheridon
. It was built for Blackhand and later used by Illidan's fel orcs to drain Magtheridon's blood and create more fel orcs. In Draenor, this is home to the raid
Cittadella del Fuoco Infernale
. Originally the Iron Citadel, Gul'dan corrupted Tanaan Jungle and the Iron Citadel, unleashing the Burning Legion. The geography is quite similar, with the Path of Glory present. In Outland, this area is surrounded by jagged cliffs, while in Draenor, fel lava fills the valleys.
Dark Portal
The Dark Portal is an iconic location for both continents. It's the first location players encounter when questing in both Outland (
Penisola del Fuoco Infernale
) and Draenor (
Giungla di Tanaan
at 90 and 100).
Throne of Kil'Jaeden
Named by Gul'dan, this is home to the world boss Kazzak in both Outland and Draenor. In Outland, it is the location where the orcs drank the blood of Mannoroth and later serves as the location for
Offensiva del Sole Infranto
. In Draenor, you can see this location in the
Warlords of Draenor Cinematic
where Grommash refused the offer to drink the blood of Mannoroth, setting an alternate story in motion. The Outland version of Kazzak dropped BoEs that were notable for their high amount of sockets; the Draenor version drops ilvl 705 epics and Felblight.
Path of Glory
The Path of Glory cuts through all of Tanaan Jungle, and the eastern half of Hellfire Peninsula. This portal takes you to its western-most point. You may also be familiar with this area as part of the legendary questline to acquire
Garona Mezzorco
. In Outland, it's paved with the bones of Draenei, and in Draenor, it's simply a key road for the Iron Horde.
Skettis / Spires of Arak
In Outland, this is a flying-only area where players find Arakkoa to kill for
Guardacieli Sha'tari
reputation. Players can also summon
Terokk
, who drops the
Statuetta Preistorica
toy.
Terokk
's corruption can be felt across Terokkar Forest--learn more in the quests
Vol Skith: Pietra Nera di Terokk
,
Vol Rhaze: Male senza vita
,
Vol Lithic: Attacco preventivo
,
Vol Shalas: Fuochi di segnalazione
. In Draenor, Terokk is rallied by Anzu to form an order of Talonpriests out of cursed and flightless Arakkoa, later forming the friendly
Esiliati Arakkoa
faction. This entire storyline can be explored while questing in
Guglie di Arakk
and rewards
Manto del Re Artiglio
.
Warden's Cage / Path of Light
Shadowmoon Valley has some of the most striking differences between Outland and Draenor. In Outland, this is the place where Maiev Shadowsong is held captive by Akama's Broken, with the Black Temple looming nearby. Learn more about this area in the
La Prigione della Guardiana
questline. In Draenor, this area is beautiful and is the main road to the Draenei Temple Karabor. Alliance players can complete a lengthy questline about Karabor culminating in
La difesa di Karabor
.
Legion Hold / Moonflower Valley
In Outland, this fork in the road leads to Legion Hold, the headquarters for the Burning Legion. Learn more about this area with the
Alla Roccaforte della Legione
questline. In Draenor, this same fork in the road is much less sinister--it's the main road to your Alliance Garrison headquarters, with paths also leading to Talador and Embaari Village.
Gruul's Lair / Blackrock Foundry
This is the location for two major raids.
Antro di Gruul
in Burning Crusade had the unique
Gran Sovrano Maulgar
encounter which required a Mage Tank and
Gruul l'Ammazzadraghi
who dropped the overpowered
Trofeo Spina di Drago
. In Draenor, this is the setting for
Fonderia dei Roccianera
, one of the Tier 17 raids. In this raid,
Gruul
is also a boss, and drops the updated
Trofeo Spina di Drago Carnosa
.
Razor Ridge / Razor Bloom
In Outland, this area is located near Toshley's Station and has thorny vines and Apexis formations in a desert setting. In Draenor, this area is a lush jungle, with some thorny vines still present and ravagers.
Bloodmaul Ravine / Burning Glacier
Blade's Edge Mountains looks very different than Frostfire Ridge, but the geography is similar--a dramatic mountain next to a deep valley. In Outland, the Bloodmaul Outpost is a small settlement where the ogres brew
Barile di Birra Ammazzabruti dei Magliorosso
. Learn how the ogres learned how to brew this in the
La storia di T'chali
questline. In Draenor, this is the location for the Horde Garrison, as well as nearby
Guh
who can be recruited to your Garrison and sells
Bastoncino a Gas
.
Bloodmaul Ravine / Gormaul Tower
In Outland, this part of the ravine is located close to Thunderhold Stronghold and south of Bladespire Hold. In Draenor, Gormaul Tower is used by the Frostwolf Orcs when attacking the Bladespire Ogres and taking over Bladespire Citadel (
Torre di Maglio Insanguinato
).
Throne of the Elements
The Throne of the Elements is a major lore area for both Outland and Draenor. It remains mostly unchanged between continents. In Draenor, players can complete quest like
Il sottosuolo
and farm for nearby elemental water motes. It serves as a quest hub in Draenor as well, with
Gordag
is an Outland quest-giver who is missing in the Draenor version (
Il destino di Gordag
). Throne of the Elements is also the location for the end of the Horde legendary questline (
La benedizione di Draenor
).
Twin Spire Ruins / Zangar Sea
The Twin Spire Ruins were an area for world PvP in Outland--whichever faction controlled both towers got the
Benedizione delle Guglie Gemelle
buff. In Draenor, you simply get ported underwater to a mushroom off the coast of Nagrand.
Nagrand Entrance / Zangar Shore
In Outland, this location lies on the road between Zangarmarsh and northeastern Nagrand. In Draenor, Zangarmarsh is the Zangar Sea and the swamp mushrooms are only found on the shore.
Shattrath City
Shattrath
is the capital city in Outland. The center is run by the Sha'tar, who worship the spiritual being A'dal. The Aldor and the Scryers are two factions working with Shattrath against the Burning Legion, but feud with each other. The Aldor are a draenic priesthood working with the Sha'tar, while the Scyrers are a group of formerly-hostile blood elves that recently offered to aid Shattrath.
The Lower City is its own faction--it is comprised of war-torn refugees of all races. Profession trainers and vendors with unique recipes are located down here, as well as the World's End Tavern with a variety of colorful NPCs.
In Draenor, Shattrath is an area of Talador that is overrun by the Iron Horde and is the location of several important quests in the zone, such as
Battaglia per Shattrath
.
Bone Wastes / Deathweb Hollow
The Bone Wastes is a desolate area surrounding Auchindoun, a holy area for the Draenei until the Shadow Council destroyed the area with an explosion. Many quests in
Foresta di Terokk
will take you to this area, such as
L'Esarca caduto
,
Fuga dalla tomba
, and
Anime vendicative
. Auchindoun itself is home to four dungeons:
Tombe del Mana
,
Cripte degli Auchenai
,
Sale dei Sethekk
,
Labirinto delle Ombre
. In Draenor, Deathweb Hollow has echoes of the spider presence in Bone Wastes (
Terokkarantola
vs
Nella tana
), as the Shadow Council is trying to corrupt their captives with spider venom. Freeing captives like
Isaari
will reward the
Fiala di Tossina di Tessimorte
. This area in general does not share many similarities with the Bone Wastes, as it is alive with healthy foliage and
Auchindoun
is not destroyed.
