I know this isn't rare like the Hyacinth, but IMO this is a very cool pet, my favorite. It doesn't have the significance of a rare drop, but I love the colours and you can get one from BB for 40s. I collect a lot of pets (going for the 75 achievement right now), but he's still one of the coolest ones.

In patch 2.4.3, numerous flying non-combat pets have had their flight height modified to no longer skim along the ground. This includes captured firefly, dragonhawk hatchlings, moths, owls, parrots, phoenix hatchling, spirit of summer, sprite darter, and tiny sporebat.

Oddly enough, some people actually try to sell these on the booty bay auction house for 10+ gold. 40 feet from the merchant who sells it for 40 silver.

Unfortunatly Blizzard didn't do very well on making them look like actual Senegals.
They are beautiful, smart and adorable pets in real life (Especially if hand raised)

I think the Parrot in BB was mainly red, whereas this one is mainly green. Hey for the diff in price I'd be happy with red lol.

Hello,

I am a Draenei Shaman, Level 14. He is an alst doing enchanting and jewelcrafting and babe watch...horsing around I mean, to get stuff to my main Human Warlock, Level 27 on Nordrassil. Having a Warlock, which is about summoning and dominating the most powerful pets, and having another alt that is a level 15 Dwarven Hunter, I am used to having pets . However, as far as I know, Shaman have no pets, as The Warrior does not either; other classes do not recieve pets either, unless purchased. But I am confused about these types of pets....My question is, I noticed that the moths flying around the seller in The Exodar were Level 1 Warrior Beasts. If I spend a fortune to get a moth, or a cat, or a parrot, or build a mechanical squirrel(Hey, if Mechanical Harvesters can have and vary in levels, why not a mechanical squirrel, maybe with a laser pointer on its back to mark my target, who knows?) , will they ever:

Gain Levels
Help in Combat
Help in Casting
Carry Some Food
Produce nothing, but demand food in return
A Combination of the others
Do Anything that justifies the 50 silver for each of their habitats
Just give me a graphical companion, nothing else

I ask, bc, I am used to having pets, and quite frankly, if Moths, or Cats, Or Mechanical Squirrels, or an Exotic Pet never gained levels, never contributed anything, and basically never added anything to the game other than see his figure following you, if it can even do that with being run over by a catapult, then why are they so expensive (half a gold for nothing) and why have them. They are a tease to classes that do not get pets if they do nothing. Plus, when you die, and your cat starts to get hungry, what do you think its going to eat, besides the blades of grass you always tell it not to, that way it can throw up the rib meat it just gnawed off you corpse.

You see what I'm getting at, right?

Since your low lvl Im going to tell you now, 50s isnt anything, its a drop in the bucket in outlands. You will make more gold in an hour than anywhere in Azeroth. And these pets have no purpose other than cosmetics in the game
