Seeing the twilight dragon icon makes me think this is the non-end boss raid drop (like the Flametalon in firelands). from Warmaster Blackhorn or Ultraxion (Both heavilly twilight drake involved).
Nothing confirmed though.

I saw it on the PTR just now, and it's a red dragon with the same model as the Albino Drake.

I asked that guy (Eluy) and he said it drops from Ultraxion. Rare drop (probably around 1-2%). This mount shares the look of Gyth, a chromatic drake mounted by Rend in UBRS.

Ah, a chromatic dragon. Some time after Wrath was released I had gone back through UBRS for some fun and, while dealing with Rend, wondered if we would ever be able to obtain a chromatic type drake much like Gyth. This is a wonderful color addition to the drakes.

Just had this drop in my guilds first Ultraxion kill, there is nothing special to it besides the color and rarity. will probably end up being like the mount from alysrazor though and never drop again. Congratulations on anyone who wins this even though they will probably never use it as it will make you look like a derp for riding a pink drake.

Let me see, we FINALLY have the Chromatic dragon model in game as a mount! yes! It is really a pitty that the only chromatic drake model in game before this was Gyth...

This mount drops from Ultraxion. A guildie recieved this mount tonight and reported that it's colour changes in different lights (day/night etc). I don't know if thats supposed to be the special niche about this mount.

Confirmed by blizzard to be an ultra rare drop from Ultraxion Normal and Heroic inside the Lesser Cache of the Aspects.

This mount is as funky as it is beautiful at the same time. Our pink dragon friend dropped on our guild's weekly Dragon Soul guild raid. It was the second time we killed (10man Normal). (After writing this comment, we killed Ultraxion many a times, but the mount hasn't dropped again since.)
Blizzard classifies this mount as "very rare", so my personal guess is about 1% drop chance. However, it might very well be lower, considering it is not even on wowhead's loot table for as of yet.

Although it has a colour scheme that requires an acquired taste, the very rarity of this particular mount, makes it a special one to obtain. Being a mount collector, I feel extremely lucky I won the roll (I went "WOOOOOOOOOOH" out loud on Vent, lol! -- Yes, half my guild is deaf now!). It's pink and super girly, but I don't mind, being a girl and all. =]

The skin used for Experiment 12-B was first seen in-game on Gyth, the drake mounted by Warchief Rend Blackhand in (old) Upper Blackrock Spire.
Experiment 12-B shares the same model as for example Reins of the Bronze Drake.

Good luck to those trying to obtain this rare mount and congratulations to those whom already have!

: Experiment 12-B now shows up on the loot tables of Lesser Cache of the Aspects (the loot chest rewarded by the Dragon Aspects after the defeat of ) at a shockingly low droprate of 0.5% on 10man and 1.2% on 25man, normal modes. Though, these drop rates may vary as time passes, so I would suggest keeping in mind the drop chance is averagely 1% on all difficulties.

got this mount yday from our normal ds kill and it does idd change color going from bright red/pink (when its light) to dark purple (when its dark)

You know what is annoying?
When you log in to read something about Ultraxion, and you hear there is a mount that drops off it. Blizzard fails to put these things into Encounter Journal, but can successfully put Reins of the Blazing Drake in. It was the same for Flametalon of Alysrazor, that didn't make the Encounter Journal either. I hope Blizzard decides to add these small missed things into the Journal, in a patch update.

This mount dropped for my guild run the first or second week we were in DS nomal. I have had it since then and about 2 weeks ago we got our 2nd on server. It is an extremely low drop rate.. much lower than that of the Blazing Drake from Normal Madnesss... Its a pinkish color in game and very girly.. Suit me well since i am a girl. My Draenei Dk looks good on it though especially since she is xmogged into the Bloodscale gear =D Screenshot submitted.

Did some experiments and this drops not on heroic 25 or raid finder 25. This drops the best on normal 25 or heroic 10 so farmers go farm in those areas! (it can still drop in N10 but its 0.5% less of a chance.)

While I do like the coloring of this mount, the re-use of a frankly ancient model (been around since vanilla, albeit not as a mount) is somewhat disheartening.

Considering its name and implied origin, something a bit less plain would've been nice, and fitting. Imagine the same color scheme but with Atramedes' model. Now that would catapult it from "sort of meh" to "zomg this is the coolest thing ever".

My casual guild just got its 3rd 1 within 2 weeks. I didnt win it but it blows my mind that it dropped two times in a row for our B group and 1 time for our A group

I personally dont like the look of the drake but wanted it for my collection. Offered 50k to trade me but he wanted it himself.

I won this mount on my 25 man team on my druid healer, rolled 100 xD It was our second heroic kill, on March 7th. I don't recall this dropping at all for us on normal mode.

I'll have to admit, this mount seems way rarer than the Blazing Drake from Madness.
To put into perspective, across 9 chars that I run Dragon Soul with (all 10 mans), I have killed Ultraxion (N or H) 151 times, and Madness(N) 132 times.
Out of the 132 Madness kills I have seen 13 Blazing drakes dropped (finally won 1 myself, the 12th one);
Out of the 151 Ultraxion kills I have seen 0 Experiment 12-B dropped.

I know, it could have been luck after all, but when something outnumbers 13-0, it just scream how much rarer this drake is compared to the other.

Edited: Okay, 3.5 years later, 6 months after deciding to go after this mount with 8-9 chars per week, and around 200 more kills later, I am finally the proud owner of this rare mount. Hurray!

killed it on my mage on 10man and mount dropped (after ~100 kills over all chars). Me being a collector with 160 mounts OF COURSE lost the roll to a scumbag with zero kills of raid bosses in ... wait for it ... CATACLYSM (no bot/bwd/to4w, no firelands, no baradin hold even kills on anything, no DS either respectively). A guy of course has nothing gearwise and achivmentwise, not to mention mountwise ... so I ask to sell it for 100k gold but he declines and learns it. I hate this game to be honest. Ahh ye, forgot to mention that this mofo is a male draenai hunter who doesn't use chimera shot as marksman

Just had this fantastic mount drop during my guild's weekly 10 man Dragon Soul run. Due to personnel issues we ran the boss on normal mode for funsies gearing up alts, getting some non-raiders a taste, and to shake off some pre-Mists rust, and Ventrilo exploded with cheers. In my opinion one of the most unique and cool flying mounts in the game (and I don't say that lightly, I have an Ashes of Al'ar and an Azure Drake... I REALLY dig the Blue Dragonflight).

Some people consider this mount bland (so not true), and some consider it downright ugly. I think that its "psychedelic vomit" color scheme combined with the lore of the Chromatic Dragonflight and its origins dating back to UBRS in classic (woohoo Gyth!) make it one incredibly cool mount for those lucky enough to have it.

Listed by Blizzard as an ultra-rare drop (Wowhead calculating 10 man drop rate of 0.5% and 25 man as 1.2%), you will definitely stand out in a crowd. That's a pretty cool feeling, particularly for all of us mount collectors out there.

My only regret is that I cannot fly all three of those amazing mounts at the same time. WAIT! I have an idea. The Chromatic Dragonflight was created by infusing the essences of the five Dragonflights together.... what if we infused an Azure Drake with the Ashes of Al'ar and Experiment 12-B.... and a Life-binder's Handmaiden... and a Pureblood Fire Hawk! It would be a fiery rainbow monstrosity so hideous and terrifying it would be terrific!

Now, if Blizzard would only give us an Infinite Drake and a long awaited Emerald Drake.... that was be quite nice (the model for the Infinite Drake has been in the game since BC, make it happen). Every time I fought Epoch Hunter I thought to myself, as I'm sure others have, "why isn't this a mount"? Perhaps some day.

As for now, congratulations to everyone who has been fortunate enough to acquire this very very rare and unique mount!
