How do I know? saw some youtube footage of the fight from the PTR & this is what dropped.

This weapon just screams "night elf." Too bad night elves can't be any class that can/would use it. Guess there's always transmog, since it's not Main Hand restricted.

Scratch that, it's MH only now. Guess those nelf warriors and DKs won't be mogging it, after all.

Had both my axes mogged to this for my enhancement shaman, looked really cool.

Now it's been hotfixed to be main-hand only and I've lost my gold, cheers Blizz (Y)

It's better for Elemental Shamans to aim for this weapon instead of Sceptre of Azshara. As Priest , Caster Druids, mages will not be able to roll on this Axe, you have less to no competition if it drops unless a Healerdin is in the party.

Going for the sceptre will really requires good luck and win the roll against any casters named above.

Although this may be a unique "pizza cutter", it can be transmogged. I used Breeeching Comet on it without issue.

Edit: After doing some research and looking at theorycrafting, I have come to the following conclusions.
Fact: Mastery is a Holy Paladin worst stat, hands down. Considering reforging any secondary stat but Spirit to Haste, equiping Scepter of Azshara instead of Crescent Moon will yield: +40 spirit, +55 crit rating, -16 haste rating & -79 mastery rating.
The scepter comes out on top exactly because it doesn't have mastery and more spirit. Slap Heartsong on it and you're good to go.

Thanks Blasterion for pointing this out. After using the Scepter for a while, I can definitely say the Scepter is better than the axe.

No-one's mentioned this yet, but this PERFECTLY matches the Justicar Set. the Purple, Gold, and White look amazing, it's nice to have a good looking weapon to go with a good looking set.

I don't understand why this would be downrated...

Perhaps worth noting is that a few gear calculators that rank items for classes by spec put this well above Dragonshrine Scepter for a Prot Paladin. Common sense says otherwise, so I thought I would put this here in case anyone else was gearing a pally tank and saw such misleading information.

Though an argument could be made for the slight Mastery/attack speed increase it is clearly a caster weapon, better suited for a Holy Paladin, etc.
