As of (3/12/2011), it had a speed of 2.1

I sincerely hope the attack speeds for these str 1h swords are going to change to at least 2.6 when it goes live, or else it looks like the heroic blue weapons will be superior to these new melee weapons for DPS.

Nice to see they fixed these finally. It's also nice they added the +10 skinning bonus to this sword, but they strangely left out the daggers... a bit odd.

So, this *sword* serves as a skinning knife, and adds +10 skinning skill on equip, I'm assuming this is for the bosses in this expansion that require 530 skinning.

Assuming that many leatherworkers are also skinners, and leatherworkers are typically the classes that wear leather and mail so they can craft their own gear, lets see which of these classes can actually USE a sword.

more importantly, if you have two swords do you get +20?

I can confirm that dual-wielding two of these does in fact stack the Skinning bonus. It is possible to gain +20 Skinning from having two of these swords.

As a note this sword can be placed in a leatherworking bag so it doesn't take up any much needed space in your other bags.

Had 2 of these for a good time, but then replaced them with Soul Blades.
