So we've got Corrupted Egg of Millagazor, Smoldering Egg of Millagazor and Green Fire Hawk Mount. The corrupted hawk has been confirmed to be the raid meta. It's likely that these three mounts will all have different methods of being obtained, similar to the storm/stone drakes from 4.0, where you could see rare drop vs. farmable reward vs. achievement vs. rare spawn vs. craftable. With the addition of a rare elite firehawk in the new zone, , I'm going to say that one might be a new TLPD. That leaves one to be-- I assume-- a rare drop in the firelands raid.

Three hawks feels funny given the previous four-and-four set of stone and storm drakes, so I'm hoping that a fourth hawk (blue, to go with red/green/purple?) might be forthcoming, and able to be grinded for (maybe by doing the new Hyjal dailies).

Looks like Green Fire Hawk Mount is not implemented while the pureblood hawk drops from Rag. Too bad!

Edit: The GM only showed this mount for about 5 seconds when I was there. He only stayed on the ground as seen in the pic and switched back to a blue wind rider shortly after.

Edit 2: Turns out I was recording at the same time I took the pic, added a link to a quick video clip.

I like how all these people, especially ones posting on the Beryl Firehawk page, are saying things that sound a lot like "this is what its gonna look like, take it or leave it!"...seriously? This mount looks terrible as it sits on the proto-drake frame. The wings clipping through the ground? That looks so tacky.

I do like it. However...I do not like the wings clipping through the ground...at all. All the amazing work they do and you dont think they can spend some time cleaning it up and AT LEAST fixing the wings? I'd be very disappointed if they didn't.

This item drop from Ragnaros in Firelands on both normal and heroic difficulty.
Found it 4.2 PTR build 14179 dungeon journal.

Yesterday on my guild's 10th Ragnaros 25 normal kill, this mount dropped and I won it :)
I was offered at least 100k gold for it from several of my co-raiders, but then, what are the odds it will drop again in a guild that has yet to kill Ragnaros on heroic, as well as me rolling higher than 24 others. Gold can always be earned but rare pixels are forever! ;)

Edit: Okay it dropped again... but still! ;)

Before 4.2 was released, 3 models were previewed. This one, the purple one from the raiding achievement and a green one. The green one never appeared for me ingame until i saw how simple it actually is. Mount the orange version with disgusting oozeling out and it gets green!

This mount looks absolutely fantastic when a shadowpriest is riding it. It gets an almost blood red tinge to the fire and the armour looks almost black. You can see it in the pictures album alongside a normal Fire Hawk.

Also, although obvious, using this Fire Hawk with the disgusting oozeling will make the mount look very similar to the green fire hawk.

This dropped for our ten man run tonight on normal mode. The wing animation on it is pretty stiff, but it's overall a pretty mount.

As said earlier, this mount gets a dark shade of red when mounted by a priest in Shadowform. The look is truly awesome!

I am a serious mount collector (ie a bit crazy really) but despite this, I have rarely encountered a mount in this game that's made me go "...MUST HAVE!". The Raven Lord and Crimson Deathcharger are 2 of them, the Swift Spectral tiger is another, but when I saw this mount in Stormwind one day I knew I had found my single biggest goal in my mount collecting career. I had to have it!

Sure, it uses the proto-drake skeleton, but I'd say that's an advantage...it's massive and looks absolutely amazing (check my screenshot, would you say that looks bad?) with the wings being so long. The "feathers" are stunning and the sound-effects likewise. The armor is spot-on for what it needed to add that final touch of "WOW!". I'd say that this is Blizzard's finest work when it comes to mounts, nothing comes even close. Not even the old Phoenix, since this one looks even more like a phoenix I'd like to say. The fiery effect of its feathers changes with zone and lighting/shadowing. It is truly spectacular to see.

Overall, a masterpiece. The only drawback is that they made it drop from both normal and heroic...in my opinion, this mount should only be for those that kill the Firelord on the hardest possible difficulty.

i am surprised that noone thought of mentioning how awesome it looks like under the effects of the "foul gift of the demon lord" trinket.

its flames change into dark blue which give off a really cool spectacle.
