Looks like us Alliance are getting a Venomvide style daily quest chain for our Winterspring Frost Sabers.
Being a cat lover this looks like fun.

interestingly enough, I can engage in this new quest chain as well, even though I obtained a wintersaber mount previously the old fashioned way.

I assume that I can complete these new quests and obtain another identical mount in a redundant fashion.

I wish they changed the mount as well as the way to get it :/ Even just a little, so I could have two for two different grinds.

This quest is to obtain the Winterspring Cub noncombat pet, not the mount.

Update: My mistake. I was doing some investigating into the Winterspring Cub you can purchase from Michelle De Rum and thought this quest was for that. But she sells the noncombat pet for 50g (she's located in the back of the Everlook inn, for those wondering).

For those interested in obtaining the Winterspring Frostsaber, it is now a series of daily quests similar to the Venomhide Ravasaur quests. You can visit Rivern Frostwind in northern Winterspring to pick up the quests (he's located at the top of the big rock).

it'd be so much more interesting if the cub actually grew after completing each daily, showing it's maturing

i submitted a screenshot of it next to my worgen druid, you'll notice it's not as small as it starts out, infact by the sixth whisker it's over doubled it's size

This counts as a companion when you have it out, so you can't have any other companions out when completing these quests.
