Noble Hops, Dry Yeast and Cocoa Beans now all being sold by the new cooking vendor Bario Matalli in Stormwind as of 11th December on Bronze Dragonflight (EU).

Sold for 8s each.

These are no longer sold by the listed vendors... unless they are inside Imported Supplies or Crate of Tasty Meat. The Imported supplies says it contains cocoa beans... haven't bought one yet since I am saving my awards for recipes.

Apparently the contents of the Imported Supplies bag changes daily, so today (on my realm at least) it contains cocoa beans, tomorrow it may contain the dry yeast or noble hops. Ah well, so glad I leveled all my alt's cooking to 440 from the darkbrew lager before they made them cost tokens instead of gold!

SUMMARY OF COMMENTS THUS FAR:

1) Noble Hops, Dry Yeast, and several other items USED to be sold by the Sous Chef in the two Capital Cities; they were purchasable for around 10s each.

2) As of/After patch 4.0.6 these items are no longer available from the listed vendors as discrete money-purchasable items. They are, instead, SUPPOSED to be found in 'Imported Supplies' sack that the above vendors sell for 1 cooking token.

3) The contents of that sack are SUPPOSED to rotate on a daily basis, offering a collection of each ingredient (listed in the tooltip) listed as its contents that day.

4) Something went wrong, according to a GM, and the 'Imported Supplies' sack is NOT rotating its contents as it is supposed to; it is instead stuck on cocoa beans (apparently 2 stacks worth). The GM Mephron spoke to indicated that it's a known bug, that it would be fixed in 'an upcoming patch' but s/he was unable to give Mephron an estimated date for said patch.

5) Darkbrew Lager - the cooking recipe result that Noble Hops is a reagent for (along with Dry Yeast) IS STILL required for the Catacalism Gourmet achievement. I have not found any official posts about this issue, but I didn't have time to research it very deeply.

Hope this helps for the 'tl;dr' crowd who would not wish to wade through the myriad responses above. =)

With all of the hotfixes they have been doing lately, I would think this glaring issue would be attended to. I would like to be able to finish up my achievement. Perhaps this requires a client-side patch? I still haven't seen a single blue mention of it.

I have seen many comments on this being needed for the Cataclysmic gourmet cooking achievement. The achievement states "cook 30 of the Cataclysm cooking recipies listed below". This list hold 32 recipies, which means that it isn't NEEDED for the achievement.

Put in a ticket about not being able to get Noble Hops from the supply bag. GM Response: "Noble Hops is purchasable from Innkeeper Allison in the Inn in Stormwind."
I just checked Innkeeper Allison and she does NOT sell Noble Hops. I wish I had got that GM's name cause he is a complete IDIOT!

I contacted Blizzard support in game about this, too (and something related - about my having made a Darkbrew Lager previously, although it does not show up as completed on the list for the 30 item Cataclysmic Gourmet achievement). As of today their response to me was:

1. The "Imported Goods" bag is NOT bugged, it is supposed to contain Cocoa Beans as it says.

2. The Darkbrew Lager part of the achievement is, however, bugged, and they said the situation is currently being looked into/fixed.

I kind of get the feeling that, to prevent others from making the Darkbrew Lager while it is still bugged and may make extra work for Blizz, they just took the items out of the game for a while.

Or else the GMs like telling stories, which I'm sure is also true sometimes.

I had hops in the 'bank' and when I went to get them to make the Brew...no hops...so what is with that - I purchased the darn things with $$ not tokens a while back. I put them in there when I got them from S. Chef..so much for planning ahead :0*(

Bought from Bario Matalli today and no hops or dry yeast. Only 40 cocoa beans...... :/ !

You do NOT need this to get the achievement, however. The Cataclysmic Gourmet is to cook 30. There are 32. I didn't make this or the seafood feast since my guild hasn't done the required fishing to get it. That left me with 30 :-D
