Actually, you might be able to. I've found that I can get on a flying mount while in Taunka form from my Deathbringer's Will. For example, I got changed into a fly from the Underbelly Elixir in Dalaran, attacked the Silver Covenant Agent in the sewers and mounted as a Taunka. I dismissed the Taunka buff, and what was left was a fly perched just above a very tiny sparkle pony. So if you're transformed and wearing that trinket, and can attack something, you might be able to be mounted while Noggenfoggered. Although, I assume you'd want to do this so as to be a skeleton on the skeletal raptor, which isn't a flying mount, so that might not be possible.

Has the same basic animation as the other raptor pets but makes a noise that sounds more like a bubbly chicken than a dinosaur. No unique idle animations like Darting or Leaping Hatchlings. I was offered the item at 104 Archaeology but didn't complete it until 164. Counts towards I Had It in My Hand and What Was Briefly Yours Is Now Mine.

For some reason, the pet is very small compared to other pets.

It's the same as the Personal World Destroyer, you can barely see them.
Shame really, it's a really nice pet.

What's interesting is that i had a fossil project half done, and when i trained for 300 archeology, it magically changed my fossil project to this.

204 skill if that makes any difference.

When archy first came out, you could level up to 150 (I think, or was it 100?) just with digging things up. I got up to exactly that level, ported to SW and opened my presents. The raptor was one of the first things I got. It seems random. I think the archy level was less than 200.

people are saying that you can get this at like 40-60 skill but i got it as my second fossil artifact at like 16 skill. idk if i got like really lucky but i got it really early

Ain't this some &*!@. I've been working on my pet collection and my archeology. Looking over WoW vanity pets, vendor, quest, farming yada yada. I see fossilized hatchling as an arch find. Check out this page and comments and low and behold what is in my bags! Fossilized hatchling. Very good chance if I hadn't read this it may have been blindly sold to a vendor.

Just FISHED him up in Feralas, was doing the Nat Pagle, Angling Extreme quest. Was in a river in the middle of Feralas. My fishing is 525, level 85 Druid. Just thought I would let everyone know that there apparently are other ways then archeology to get him. He is very cute.

Got it as my first Fossil solve @ Arch lvl 70, toon lvl 35. Just FYI

EDIT: Since I haven't seen a confirmation of the skill requirement for this I think it has no Arch skill requirement to get it as your next solve, as now I got the little fella as my next solve as low as with 12 skill in Arch.
