This is roughly 230 DPS increase over DFO and doesnt have the extremely annoying proc stacking buff.
An amazing trinket for entry level raiding.

The buff stacks each time a DoT ticks on a target and refreshes the duration. If no DoTs are ticking on any target, the buff drops. 340 Spell power fully stacked, definitely great for entry level raiding and good for any class with DoTs.

Much like the Solace of the Undefeated was to healing druids, this trinket is a no-effort, immediate 340 spellpower. You get 20 stacks in 3 seconds flat with one Wild Growth.

This looks pretty much amazing for boomkins, shamans, and spriests, as you can throw hots on yourself to keep the buff up between pulls. Even though the ramp up time is fast, every little edge helps right now

This is currently NOT working for any Paladin spells. I have put in a ticket for this and the GM said that this was a known issue and was something that was being worked on.

However, the tooltip can be interpreted in 2 different ways:

Your healing and damage periodic spells grant 17 spell power each time they heal or deal damage. Lasts 15 sec, stacking up to 20 times.

Does this mean it only procs on healing periodic spells and damage periodic spells? Or Healing Spells and Damage periodic spells?

If the former is true, then it is working as expected. However, if they latter is true, then there is a problem.

Can any other healer classes test to see if direct healing can cause this to proc.

If intended to proc on non-periodic healing spells, the wording would be either:

Your healing spells and damage periodic spells

Your healing and periodic damage spells

It's pretty obvious to me the trinket is intended to only be useful for periodic spells. It should be read as the third option.

Besides, it's called Gale of Shadows. Our shadow classes, Warlocks and S:Priests, use lots of periodic spells. It only makes sense it benefits periodic spells. Unless you think it would make sense to have cloth gloves called Handwraps of Endless Rage that give intellect and spirit.

I have this trinket on my Restoration Shaman, and it is permanently stacked to 20. It is amazing, and reforging it for +114 Spirit makes it one of the best pre-raid healing trinkets there is.

Pro tip: Keep your Riptide rolling in between fights even if everyone is at 100% HP. This will keep this trinkets buff topped up to max.

Absolutely love this thing.

Also the buff refreshes the duration every time a new stack is added, and can be held at 20 permanently if you get lucky enough with your rolling HoT's.

I'm not sure that last one is working as intended. It doesn't benefit from Unleash Elements because it isn't considered to be a direct heal, so really it should be periodic (certainly behaves like one) and work with this trinket. The fact that above posters mention it working with Wild Growth makes it seem even more likely to be a bug,

Im the only who actually thinks this trinket is awesome for any caster DPS?, specially talking, warlock, its basically 285 haste and 340 spellpower all the time, this combined with something like Heart of Ignacious, thats 385 spellpower when charged up and a (not that good) 1605 haste buff for 20s on a 120s CD, assuming you can manage to stay above the hitcap with no hit trinkets

Friends, I have sinned. I only tell you this in the hope that you avoid my fail.

I (arcane mage) needed this from a druid healer. AFTER asking them if they wanted. They said it was a bigger upgrade for me. I took it. Picked up where I left of in twilight highlands, and scratched my head wondering why it did not seem to work.

Do as I have not, and RTFM on all trinks you come across.

As a raiding moonkin I must say this is an incredible trinket, so much better then lot of the "epic" counterparts, since you have to keep 2 dots on targets all the time and its passive haste make them tick much faster, it's a win-win trinket. If there are multiple targets you can dot, aoe situations, it even reaches highest spell power faster. Just plain awesome, go for it!

The stacking effect seems to have been given a short ICD in 4.0.6, so you won't be stacking this nearly as fast as you used to.

Though it now has an internal cd, it also now procs off all fire dots, including ignite, pyroblast, living bomb, combustion, flamestrike dot, and ffb dot

Fire mages, it does proc off of the dots u listed above I've tested and confirmed it does even on multiple targets, but like someone else said doesn't matter how many of those dots u have tickin it can only raise a stack every 3 sec.. so 1 min ramp up time = nerfed to oblivion. only decent for long fights lasting longer than 1 min even then if ur dots drop off for more than 13 sec with an intermission or cut scene poof buff is bye bye.. throws it in the trash..

For Holy Paladins it only procs on Holy Radiance, as the only periodic healing spell.
Because of the duration of 10 secs, it will only let the trinket stack to 5. (+71 SP)
So no real use for us there ;)

I was called a nub a** for rolling on this against a healer on my Spriest.
The shaman healer think it's all his trinket, and the tank totally supported that I totally didn't deserve it. Some folks on this game can't seem to read or don't bother reading after the 2nd word. I am sad to spend an hour of my time with such tards.

Reminder for caster druids of ALL stripes: there's still an ICD on the proc, true-- but we have the option to quietly roll a Rejuvenation or a Lifebloom on someone out of combat to build the stack and keep it built. If you're reasonably clever/lucky about it, you stand a good chance of building your stack at the start of a dungeon and keeping it up until the end.

This trinket when you reach full stack changes its visual graphic to be more like severed visionary tentacle. Only more dark/shadowy. (seen on a resto druid)

It also procs from word of glory if its correctly glyphed, its nice to stack it up to 20 before any pull, just shock and WOG fast and u have the full stack!

Appears to have lost it's ICD in 4.2, 1 stack of the buff per 1 tick of Lifebloom at 0.83s per tick.
