Again you get recipes that require this as early as 470 yet you can't make it till 515. That doesn't make any sense at all. Guess after the 3rd expansion they still haven't figured that out.

Yeah, it's stupid. Seriously, don't people notice this stuff in beta? Or do Blizzard just ignore the reports? Probably the latter given the state of enchanting at launch, with dusts being rarer than greater essences...I mean, you'd have to be a complete retard to actually design the profession like this intentionally...right?

More like they designed it, made some revisions, and didn't quality control to double check up on it. At least it's only one enchant (and better than having to pay 5 shards for it!)

Make it at 520 skill - still orange and still gives 5pts while any other trainer recipes are yellow.

O.K. I'm leveling my enchanting and I have a chant in my book atm, my chanting is at 470/525. However, to perform the chant, I need a Runed Elementium Rod. To be able to use the rod, my chanting needs to be 500/525. Remember...I already have this chant in my book at 470/525. It gets better...I have to be at 515/525 to make the rod!
Sooooo...I need to get to 515 to make the rod to use at 500 for a 470 chant. Awesome!

This was just now hotfixed! Enchants learned at lower lvl (i.e.475) require Runed Titanium Rod, not Elementium one. Gratz Blizz!

Yet another stupid move on the part of Blizz:

Chanters can effectively max out their chanting at lvl 75 - except oops, they can't
At a certain point a chanter MUST have the runed elementium rod to level the profession.
The formula for the rod is soulbound, so the chanter MUST get it himself.
The formula for the rod is sold by an NPC in a lvl 84 zone.
The NPC cannot be interacted with until a lvl 84 quest chain is completed.
Ergo, a lvl 75 player is completely halted in their tracks in terms of leveling enchanting.

Since there's a lot of qq'ing going on about this but not a lot of helpfulness I thought I'd log in and share that this can be bought from Senthii in Highbank, Twilight Highlands for the cost of 1 heavenly shard. It requires a skill lvl of 500 to even learn it.

Just thought it interesting to note that apparently Blizzard didn't bother making new icons for the Elementium Rod and the Runed Elementium Rod. They just reused the Adamantite rod icons instead! >_<

If the timing is right, or you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks, make this at 515 to get you to 520, then do the monthly quest at the Darkmoon Faire for your last 5 points.
