I made an account here to let people know I got this recipe off the blood boils in deepholm in deathwing's path. I tried farming the gimblins like the previous commenter suggested for about an hour and received the king of boars design. I can't say for certain that the blood boils are the only way to get this but that is how I got the recipe for this awesome trinket. Hope it helps!

The Design scroll was removed on Live versions. They appear to have changed it to a BOP Quest item drop. I didn't find my first one until after I made it to 475 JC.

I have heard that all these figurines should drop from any mob (Cataclysm content ofc), as long as you have above 475 JC.
I recently leveld my JC to 525 and haven't killed mobs since, so I can't comment about the drop chance(s).

As soon as I hit lvl-476 Jewelcrafting, I headed off to Uldum to quest grind. And after about an hour of questing and killing mobs it eventually dropped off one of the Riverbed Crocolisks. It will drop for ya eventually if you dont get lucky quick. This is a wonderful tanking trinket! The 20-second duration makes it especially nice. A lot of trinket buffs are only for 10-15 seconds. And the 2-min cooldown is short enough to where you'll be able to use quite often when smacking those elites around.

I noticed after completing the quest and equipping the item there was no +1 or any JC skill up awarded or learned (like the fishing & cooking quests do) . But that's okay. I would gladly give up 50 skill points for this trinket.

Materials list is incorrect as of patch 4.1 this pattern now also requires 10 obsidium bars

At Level 85 with 503 JC I finally got this to drop off of a Twilight Captivator after many, many hours of questing. After reading the comments here it seems pretty random. Just need to keep killing until it drops for you.
