Some of my math:

15k Mana Shadow Priest, with dispersion, 36% of it will be returned by dispersion over 6 seconds, and triggers a 3 minute cooldown when used. If dispersion is used every cooldown, approximate MP5 will be around 150 Mana per 5 seconds, or 30 mana per second:

15000*.36=5400
5400/180=30
30*5=150

With 45 seconds reduced on the cooldown, we are looking at 200 MP5, or 40 MPS.

5400/135=40
40*5=200

So, this glyph is worth around 50 MP5 if Dispersion is used every cooldown. Now, lets say if you had 20k.

20000*.36=7200
7200/180=40
40*5=200 MP5 Non-glyphed

7200/135=53.3333...
53.333...*5=266.6666... MP5 Glyphed.

We are looking at a 1/3 increase in mana regen from Dispersion with this glyph. It's also useful for PvP, being that overall more time spent with a huge decrease in damage taken.

EDIT: This is just rough estimates, I might be wrong!

I think this could be fairly useful for raids too... now that mana regen got spanked, and some of these Ulduar fights are super long, I found myself running low on mana more often. Before in Naxx 25, I never even looked at mana, and would usually never have to even use dispersion or shadowfiend.

But on razorscale the other day, i blew through my dispersion and started using shadowfiend, which i have never done regularly... perhaps glyph of dispersion + 2/2 veiled shadows + replenishment will make spirit a lot less attractive to shadow priests...

Has anyone noticed the tool tip says 45 seconds off the cool down but after you assign it as a glyph your total cool down is 1.25 min? That's 35 seconds not 45 or it would be 1.15 min CD..........Am I wrong here?

Amazing glyph for tanking Big Bangs in the Algalon fight. Your tanks get to save their cooldowns for Phase punches, other emergencies, etc.

This glyph is perfect for shadowpriest leveling. When leveling through trash I rarely use SW:P so I find that glyph useless until you hit 80 and switch to PVE raiding spec.

In the past, fast leveling for me has always been an issue of balancing out mana and hp. I avoid using shield when I need mana but have high health. When hp is low and mana is high I'll shield and VT to leech some health back. That worked pretty well, but it was annoying having to watch my mana and disperse/fiend CDs.

With this glyph, you basically get to disperse after every 2-3 mobs in an average leveling zone. So now I don't care about watching mana to see if I should shield or not, mana efficiency, etc. I just go balls out killing and hit disperse whenever it comes up. Also, if you're leveling an alt with the cold weather flying heirloom you'll notice that having a flying mount enables you to bypass the vast majority of mobs. So you'll fly to the quest point, drop down and kill a couple mobs, then mount up and fly away for a bit giving lots of time for that CD to expire.

Throw this on and you'll actually have to get used to your disperse being ready so often :P

In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed.

OLD: Glyph of Dispersion - Reduces the cooldown on Dispersion by 45 sec.
NEW: Glyph of Dispersion - Reduces the cooldown on Dispersion by 15 sec.
