Allows Chimera Shot to be used every 6 global cooldowns instead of 7 since 9 seconds cd on Chimera Shot is neatly divisible by 1.5sec gcds. This is of course assuming a Hunter has enough haste to reach 1.5sec steady shots.

This will probably be one the most useful glyphs for MM hunters because their most prized shot, chimera shot, will fit evenly in their rotation.

I did some excel calculations, and using the following formula:

((fight_time/chim_cooldown)*(1.25*DMG_Norm))+(0.4*(RAP*0.2)+242)*serpent_ticks)/fight_time

I found that if one is choosing between Glyph of Serpent Sting, or Glyph of Chimera Shot, you should take the Glyph of Chimera Shot.

Using a RAP of 5000 and the Felglacier Bolter as my weapon (with an assumed 1,464 normalized damage) , I get the following raw DPS for the Chimera Shot (spread over a 5-minute fight and using CS as often as it's available):

No Glyphs = 244.7 dps
Chimera Glyph = 271.9 dps (11% improvement)
Serpent Glyph = 264.1 dps (7% improvement)
Both Glyphs = 293.4 dps (19% improvement)

There's further improvements in DPS I would think because you're no longer using a GCD for the Serpent Stings in your rotation, along with streamlining the mental part of the rotation by simply having one less button to hit as often.

Yayy, I relly like your comment and annalysys. With glyph of chimera shot your rotation changes a bit. Appart from lich king I think kill shot would be better for a hunter with over 1k ArP.

Kill shot glyph rotation:
chimera, aimed, steady x4, wait 1s

Chimera shot rotation:
you no longer wait on aimed shot (cause 2 steady > 1 aimed)
chimera, aimed, steady x4
chimera, steady, aimed, steady x3
chimera, steady x2, aimed, steady x2
chimera, steady x3, aimed, steady
chimera, steady x4, aimed
chimera, steady x5

...and repeat. It's got no down time and it's a little harder.

While this may seem to be an appealing glyph, it does have its drawbacks. If you don't use Chimera Shot every single moment it comes up, you are in theory wasting this glyph. If you do use CS every time it comes up, it is a solid dps increase.

OLD: Glyph of Chimera Shot - Reduces the cooldown of Chimera Shot by 1 sec.
NEW: Glyph of Chimera Shot - Increases the healing you receive from Chimera Shot by an additional 2% of your maximum health.
