IMO a big oversight on Blizzard's part in making the off-hand once again a fast speed one. The majority of fist weapons will be used by enhancement shaman's and since blizzard stated their goal is to have Enhancement Shamans use a slow weapon (2.4 - 2.7) for both Main Hand and Off Hand it makes it totally undesirable as an OffHand.

Don't forget that Flametongue Weapon buff is normalized now on weapon-speed so even with a WF/FT combination over WF/WF you will still want a slow Off Hand as an Enhancement Shaman. Rogues might still want to pick this up, but it just seems odd from my point of view why Blizzard cannot just put slow Off Hands in the game if that is their philosophy on Enhancement Shaman weapon choice. If anything we might be dependant once more on having a badge reward fill the gap. *sigh*

Aren't Shamen using fast offhands now, as well? I thought WF/WF was a thing of the past.....isn't it WF mainhand, FT offhand now?

I could be wrong, but I thought that slower off-hands were still desireable for a variety of reasons.

Maelstrom is on a PPM, so faster weapons don't help there.
Both Lava Lash and Stormstrike benefit from slower weapons.
There's still the apparent internal cooldown on windfury procs.

The way I understand it, fast off-hands are acceptable, but only if their stats and DPS are significant enough to off-set the loss to Lava Lash and Stormstrike.

This dropped tonight from Flame Leviathan and as the only person (Shaman) who can use it in the raid (although as my dual spec), I have it. It seems to be a little more popular to use WF/FT and have a slow/fast although the majority are still saying fast/fast, as no one else wanted it - I will give it a go.

Got this last night on my rogue. Really looking forward using it in a combat fist specc.
Can't see any reasons why rogues shouldn't have prio on this since it seems abit too fast for shamans.
I kinda prefer AD x 2 on my own...

Seeing as how shamans are kinda banned from fast offhands now I decided to put this thing to the test against The Stray. Well, as you probably have figured this thing did better even though it is a fast offhand. But if there is a combat rogue in your group using fist weapons pass this one to him/her as it will probably benefit his/her dps alot more.

haha bayush... u think that pride is an good OH from badges yet grasscutter is not? Sure, 1.6 speed isnt the fastest a wep can get... but a 2.5 isnt the slowest it can get either... the amount of weapons they offer shammens is really sad. 13 epic weps that lv 80 enhance shammys can try to get total......that are 2.5 speed or higher. (besides gladiator..) while rogues have 18 possible OFFHAND weapons they can try to get...(Besides gladiator and tank weps.)

Enhance Shaman report

I did some testing on this tonight after I was debating rolling on this vs my The Stray with beserking enchant.

This weapon was consistently 150-250dps better using only SS, LL and Maelstrom LB (edited out LS and ES on both tests) unbuffed. I believe this took into effect maelstrom and LL procs.

Just something to think about ;)

There aren't enough fast Fist Weapon off-hands, and I cry a little inside everytime i see a Rogue with an Enhancement Shaman off-hand. 2.6 speed on a Rogue off-hand... wtf...
The Zealot weapon refrence is cool, too.
