Yah, as a holy priest, I dropped tailoring sometime in TBC to get the awesome https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/item=35750 and this new trinket, along with with the added Alch benefits, proves to me it was worthwhile.

How much haste does this item lose at L80? Is there a formula for it?

If haste drops below 2% it's not worth it imo.

This item will most likely get an upgrade. First of all please take into consideration that it is blue. Second I presume it's just like https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/item=13503 and recipies for the next stage will soon be available via some reputation rewards same as https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/item=35749 for example.

well, i think this item is already a very nice trinket, but as a little buff, they could add some int, say like 15-22. that would be a nice little benefit and wouldnt make the trinket overpowered, but as int stacking restoration shaman, i would love to see something like this ;)

time will tell if there will be epic versions of this trinket, but blizzards new "no best slot in game"-philosophy might forbid it.
they could make the passive 40% bonus to pots learnable for alchemists and add some boe epics craftable by alchemists - like LW has i.e.

Mixology affects flasks and elixirs; Alchemist's stones affect potions. So they don't stack because they apply to different things.

I have to admit that I am a little disappointed--like it was said--lasts until 10mans. When you look back to the introduction of the old alchemist stones with the major bonus, it feels lackluster. Where is the epic stone @ 450? the one that doesn't reduce the amount of spellpwr from a lv 70 item >.<

Well, it has less spellpower than most trinkets but personally, I just love the 50 haste it provides. Sitting on 450+ haste I can cast FoL in 1.1 sec and HL is only 1.5 too with Judgements of the Pure. Its a very nice boost to my HPS.

Can I equip both the sorcerer's alchemist stone and this one?
I would like to know before I make the new one, since this new one has lower spell power than the BC one I would rather keep the old.

Nothing prevents you from equipping both. But just as the tooltip says, the potions effect wont stack.

For everyone complaining about how weak this and other stones are, keep in mind that mixology and endless potions didn't exist when the epic stones of TBC were introduced.

Super powered alchemist stones aren't the alchemist benefit anymore. Now its more powerful, longer lasting elixirs/flasks and pots in arena.

Which profession gets BoP gear that lasts past 10 mans? Thats right, none of them. Maybe the JC stam trinket in certain situations, but it still has less in itemization points than ten man gear.

The strongest BoP item from professions are engineering goggles, which are at best equivalent to ten man naxx gear. And engineers don't get any PvE centric item enhancements. (at least none that beat the normal enchant for the slot)

Yes, this counts as a Philosopher's Stone for transmutions, just like the previous ones.

I really wished this stone had intel or crit or anything else usefull for a caster instead of haste.As a holy priest haste doesn't help me very much when the spells I use the most are instant.Prayer of Mending and Circle of Healing are instant and very essential for many boss fights,renew ain't that great and pw:shield guess what it's instant as well.So haste only helps me with greater heal, flash heal and the occasional prayer of healing.I'd change it for something else,like the Darkmoon card:Illusion but loosing the 40% more heal/mana from pots sucks.

Hope the new alchemist's stones come out fast.If only for the improved stats these stones already have.

The increased effect on potions can be quite nice for grinding even when you end up with better trinkets later in the game but having to switch them out for the bonus healing/mana is a bit of a pain in the butt.

This macro should make it a bit easier, it'll equip the stone and then use the Endless Healing Potion (could change to Endless Mana or something else if you'd prefer), a right click on it will then re-equip your old trinket (I've got Swift Hand of Justice in there now but you can just sub for whatever you're using). If you use in combat you will still use the potion but you can't change out your trinkets in combat so there would be no need to switch it back. Makes grinding a tad quicker.
