Ok, if you have 500 str for example, it gives your ghoul 100 ap, around 7 dps, which is just low, comparing to some other major glyphs.

Does anyone know if ghouls get 10 HP for 1 stamina? Just because with the upcomming change to 40% stamina, that is going to be a lot more hit points, making this glyph seem very strong for that. If you have 1000 stamina (not unreasonable for level 80) a ghoul will get an extra 400 stamina and so 4000 HP! Perhaps a bit too strong for a glyph?

Any DKs who are for example Blood talented and like having Ghouls as a nice
dps companion, they can be optimized for a nice additional DPS chunks with the right talents.

Strength and Stamina contributions with this Glyph (40%) and Ravenous Dead (60%) will
add up to 100%! These two combined attributes will transform your useless-seemingly ghoul to
become a semi-clone of you! (or just about as strong as you with stamina included.)

So you dont need to go really need to go deep into Unholy other than Master of Ghouls to
always keep your ghoul (or untill he dies).

If you are Unholy DPS, take this glyph. Try it, love it, keep it.
It's as powerful as it sounds, and with your Ghoul having AE Avoidance and it's Huddle ability (put it on some button, it'll help out often) it's rare it dies, providing for an incredibly powerful damage source with near 100% uptime.

This does seem too bood to be true. I'm a blood tank but I have Ravenous Dead and I was looking at this glyph. So with the talent and this glyph my ghoul would have an extra %100 of my Str and Stam correct? If that was true my ghoul would get an extra 955 strength and 1789 stamina. So my ghoul would have over 18k HP? If this is true sign me up....that's another raid member right there. Also if my ghoul has a base of 1.1k ap with this it would be about 2k unbuffed....so in a raid and horn of winter it would be close if not just over 3k. that would be an extra 1k something dps right? or am I missing something.

This is a brilliant glyph.
I was a lvl 62 unholy DK and had this.
I had 419 Str and 409 Stam..
My ghoul had 774 STR and 625 STAM

Formula for ghoul strength (at 80):

331+(0.7*yourStrength*1.6)+(0.4+yourStrength)
Simplified: 331+1.52*yourStrength

the (0.4+yourStrength) bit only applies if you picked up this glyph, and simiilarly the 1.6 is only included if you have 3/3 ravenous dead.

My ghould with this glyph and the talent have more hp then me and I think my lil minion got even more str/sta then me not sure I should check.

It was stated above but not answered. Does this affect the ghouls summoned from Army of the Dead? Also I would like to add does this affect say the skeleton from Book of the Dead or Ancient Cornerstone Grimoire?

anyone who knows formula for ghoul HP ? and then formula for HP if u having this glyph whit ravenous death (3) ?

FYI, if you are camping your pet screen when you add this glyph to see the stat increase it will stay the same. Even if you close it. Use a stat modifier like Horn of Winter and when it wears off the change will show up in the pet window.

At lvl 65 my ghoul now has twice as much str as me. =\

I think.. I think i love him now.

In Patch 4.0.1, this glyph's name was changed from Glyph of the Ghoul (Major) to Glyph of Raise Dead (Prime). The effect remains unchanged.

Note: The old Glyph of Raise Dead (Minor) was changed to Glyph of Raise Ally (Minor), which is why they were able to use this name without an issue. Still probably confusing for Death Knights when the patch comes out.

This glyph is being changed in MoP:

Glyph of Mind Freeze — Reduces the cooldown of your Mind Freeze ability by 2 sec, but also raises its cost by 20 Runic Power.

It should be noted that in MoP, Mind Freeze no longer has a runic power cost, but the cooldown was increased to 15s.
I imagine this glyph will be most important in PvP, where meaningful things happen in the window during which the healer is locked out of his primary school.
In PvE, on the other hand, lack of a rp cost will probably be more lucrative as it allows you to roll your rotation without having to pool rp for an interrupt.
