This is a very good glyph to have if you are tanking as with the new changes to 2 strength = 1 block value. This means if you have 1000 block value this glyph would give you 100 extra block value for 10 seconds. And also with https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/spell=58874 you will get 220 damage every time you are hit. (These numbers are not based on any real values this is just an example)

considering that shield slam's base CD is only 6 seconds, a warrior could have this buff active the entire fight (except for the initial hit of course). Add on https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/spell=46951 and keeping this buff up should be easy. (Assuming that the rage is not an issue)

This glyph effectively gives you 10% extra block value. By far the best warrior glyph.

Do note the wording in the description:

Increases your block value by 10% for 10 sec after using your Shield Slam ability.

After testing, it appears that indeed, all you need to do to trigger this Glyph is to use Shield Slam. Even if it misses or is dodged/parried, you STILL get the buff!

Does anyone know if it's possible to stack 3 of these glyphs? If so...the Shield Slam damage potential could be terrifying.

You can never, ever, under any circumstances, equip more than one instance of a particular Glyph in the game.

In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed.

OLD: Glyph of Shield Slam - Increases the damage of Shield Slam by 10%.

NEW: Glyph of Shield Slam - Your Shield Slam now dispels 1 magical effect.

The base spell, Shield Slam, no longer removes magical effects, it must now be glyphed to retain that functionality.
