Model viewer shows this to be an axe seemingly like the one tauren chieftains had in W3, finally some real melee weapons unlike the "lolipop weapons" of tbc with hellokitty colors.

Quoting a famous youtube rant, this axe really screams : "DON'T MESS WITH ME"

Why haste sux for DPS? More haste = more dmg so where is the problem?

Ye you're right ^^ At the time i wrote just didn't know a lot about dks so i thought haste was good but now i know that is not so good :)

Far too much itemisation wasted on stamina for this to be good for warrior DPS. If you're fury or arms and don't mind swords just grind the rep for the Runeblade.

Am i right in thinking this axe is great for DK tanks? I imagine they'd make best use of all that stamina in a 2h and the newish tanking rune makes up for the lack of avoidance on the axe itself.

Is this better than https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/item=37653 ? I know the Sword of Justice does more damage and has a socket but this Axe has more Strength and Stamina.

Using this as a tanking weapon on my DK tank, until I get Sword of Justice to drop. I just wish Blizzard would give better options for 2-hand tanking weapons

Got this axe on my warrior today. I'm primarily prot, so though my dps spec is arms I've been using a castoff titansteel destroyer from a blacksmithing friend, and a bunch of poorly itemized +haste purples from reg and h ToC. I was looking forward to testing out poleaxe spec on the dummies, and bought +hit food and an elixir to reach the hit cap after setting aside the TTSD. After respeccing to poleaxe I went and hung out on the dummies for ten or twenty minutes.

I lost ~400 dps.

Arms warriors, this axe is not worth your time. Even though the titansteel destroyer is a mace, its superior dps, weapon damage, and strength is far more useful than the +crit and +crit-damage you gain from being able to use poleaxe spec with the Edge of Oblivion.
