Worth to note that this is the only wotlk caster Epic PvE ring available so far with hit rating on it.

In fact there are only 3 rings atm in game with ilvl 200 or higher that have hit rating on them (caster oriented) and strangely enough, one of them is a pvp ring. If you also count in spell damage, then you are only down to 2 rings.

This is arguably the second best caster ring in game at the moment falling behind https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/item=40399, but pulling ahead of https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/item=40585 because of the +49 Hit.

Nice theory, 'til you realize the shortage of yellow slots on lots of the caster gear, too. Veiled's will only get us so far...

/agree... with the lack of hit gear out there, you pretty much have to value it as better point for point than crit or haste, for most caster dps.

which makes this superior to the kirin tor ring

Titanium Spellshock Ring, crafted by JCs, is best in slot for shadow priests until Naxx 25 and I can't imagine it would be far off for other casters. That said, this ring is on my list due to the hit.

This ring is trash. It has more hit than spellpower. You should only be using it if you have nothing better or you're a fresh 80.

It would be better to use a ring with more spellpower and gem the rest of the hit you need.
