the block rating on this shield makes it better for pallys then the Titansteel Sheild Wall does.

I would take this shield over Titansteel Shield Wall if I was well over uncrittable with the Titansteel. The SBV provides buckets of threat, it has more stam, strength, and added chance to block for dmg shields and mitigation.

Short Answer: Take this if your uncrittable by a long shot, if not, I would stick with the Titansteel Shield Wall until you have the gear to complement this shield.

And the comparison tool base stats put too much weight on deff rating imo. Its not that hard to get uncrittable, especially the way I see deff rating thrown around.

Titansteel Shield Wall is your "I've just dinged 80 I need a boatload of defense" shield.

This shield is your "lets see what the biggest shield slam crit I can get is" shield.

You say "has more avoidance," and it's true, it'll up your block by more than the defense's total contribution, but if you're already block-capped, more block rating doesn't help, and because block's not "avoidance" (you still take the hit) it's wasted. Just an example.

This shield makes me happy in the pants. it's so cute with it's little horns and it's cute growling face. i really wouldn't lake to get slammed in the face by it.

Anyway - serious discussion time:

I'm planning on putting a +def enchant on this as it's already got ridiculous amounts of block, and as you replace blue tanking gear with epix, defence drops wilst other avoidance stats go up.

Kind of surprised this has never been mentioned. The face on this shield depicts that of Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred, from Diablo II.

Accursed Bow of the Elite is depicts Diablo himself.

I'd like to think Baal is somewhere, perhaps on The Voice of Reason, but it's hard to tell without the soulstone to give it away, and the fact the faces are skulls and not the actual faces from the game.

Is there any armor this doesn't look hideous with? It's ugly with my Warrior 7.5, and I'm pretty sure it's ugly with the Paladin 7.5, too.
