The best place I know for this is the Hibernal Cave in Storm Peaks. If you are low level you can try the cave on north Dragonblight.

The Roaming Jormungar in Storm Peaks have ~25% drop, I just got 12 in 50 kills.

This, Nerubian Chitin and Icy Dragonscale are the equivalents of the Clefthoof and similar leather from BC.

Arctic Fur is the real expensive and rare drop.

Best way to farm these (very situational, as it depends on whether you've quested in Dragonblight before)

Do Quests up to Hard to Swallow. Don't turn the quest in - just use the dynamite provided to farm the scales from the worms. Got nine in about 20 minutes =)

I've been farming the Tunneler's just west of the quest givers near the Crystal Vice. Might not be the best drop rate, but I'm seeing them about 1 in 5 kills. The mobs are also relatively low level, isolated, and weak.

After reading the Urban Dictionary I suspect that Blizz had also read it, hence the name of the quest Hard to Swallow.. ewww

a great spot to farm this and also a great spot to farm borean leather is inside and outside of a cave in stormpeaks.
coords are 46-55.

i got 22 of these in 30 mins

Actually they're named after one of the children of Loki, (who Blizz call Loken in WoW), that was called Jörmungandr, which is a snake.

On some servers these are useless for selling on AH as they go for 20-25g a stack and with auction house taking 5% and it costs 6 gold to put 20 of these on for 24 hours with the risk of loosing the 6 gold if not getting sold

You can get more from vendoring them for 20g a stack..

Actually Jörmungandr is a dragon, he just looks like a snake (lindorm=dragon)

I think WoW took the name from Jörmungandr which was a giant serpent in Norse mythology. The great serpent encircled Midgrad and was known for an epic tale of fishing with Thor. The story goes and I'm being brief with it. Hymir a giant went fishing with Thor and it was like a contest seeing who could catch the biggest fish. Thor using a giant head of an ox because Hymir refuse to give Thor bait fished way beyond comforts of land. They row where the legendary Jörmungandr lies and fearful Hymir warned Thor of the creature. Not really caring Thor throw in his line and behold he hooks Jörmungandr the fight was epic. The great serpent suppose dragged Thor all the way through the boat to the bottom of the ocean in some instances and other saying when Jörmungandr arose you could see the gigantic serpent and venomns overflowing from it's mouth. Hymir grew pale white due to the fearful site of Jörmungandr and as Thor was trying too reel in Jörmungandr. Hymir snap the line and in doing so angered Thor. Which Thor in returned hit Hymir with Mjöllnir in doing so. Love mythology so thought I share the story with ya.

Just sold 5 of these for 15g each, you got to have luck and great timing while selling. Jormungar leg armors were selling for 20g at the same moment, guess i must have been lucky

For those of you that don't speak WoW and just think in real terms and literal language.. what all these people talking about drops mean is that they can be skinned, with leatherworking skill, these critters do not DROP J.scales as may be read from these posts, so no you cant farm your own mats if you are like me and wanted some mats for some enhancements.

I have been farming these for the last hour & only skinned 5, need a fair few, the drop rate isn't that good, but on a brighter not, I'm also picking up Borean Leather which I also need for my Leathworking. If anyone finds a better place to farm, with a better drop rate, please post :)

A great, highly farmable source of these is Jormungar Vorace in the "Hibernal Cavern". They, of course also drop Cuoio Boreale, Pelliccia Artica, Carne di Verme, and Carne Nordica, though all but Carne di Verme are probably better farmed elsewhere. :)
