Just replaced my Icon of The Silver Crescent with this.

While the duration and amount of bonus spell power from the on-use ability is lower than the Icon of the Silver Crescent, the passive spell power bonus from this should offset it. A nice upgrade overall!

It's essentially the same trinket as the Icon assuming you have it macro'd to your casts so it goes off every cooldown.

This:
Passive - 55 Spell Power
Use - 15 Spell Power (120 with a 1:8 uptime)
Total - 70 Spell Power

Icon:
Passive - 44 Spell Power
Use - 26.3 Spell Power (158 with a 1:6 uptime)
Total - 70.3 Spell Power

I know this question isn't specific to this trinket but does the +120SP on use get applied to previously applied HOTS or only those applied in the 15 second window? As a new(ish) resto drood this is especially important to me.
