Looks a lot like the roast piggy on Moroes' dining table in Kara.

Server's not stable enough atm to form a raid group to see if it's clickable by party-only or raid-wide.

The wording of the achievement says "Present a Great Feast" So if i were to take a stab in the dark i would say you'll complete the achieement simply by making the feast available not based on if X number of players click it or not.

Just like Conjure refreshment summons a table that only lasts for 3 minutes, the feast as well only lasts for 3 minutes, so plan accordingly :D

I invited a level 36 mage to my party in Stormwind and dropped one of these, he was able to click it and get the full buff. You need to be lvl 70 to drop the Great Feast, but it seems there's no level restrictions on eating it for the buff.. (cough twinks cough)

If you need large numbers of this feast for some reason, such as for a raid or the achievement, a great place to farm the mammoth and worm meat is from the Valley of Ancient Winters, located in Storm Peaks between Brunnhildar and Dun Niffelem. Keep in mind you'll need to have finished the quest chain leading up to neutral with Sons of Hodir before mammoths and worms will appear in the large numbers I'm referring to.

I haven't yet found a great place for shoveltusk and chilled meat.

How many charges has the feast?
Would be nice if i could carry a giant roasted pork in my inventory all the time...

all of the feasts just have 1 charge like all other food unfortunately, but it can feed a 40 man raid.... so it makes up for the lack of charges :)

I would like to ask a few questions to hopefully clarify this my confusion. Mats on my server are kind of expensive, so I'm trying to figure this out without having to make it first ^_^ Thanks for your time!

Questions:

The "Great Feast" or "Feast", how many times can I click the piggie to receive the item? I understand the pig will only last for a duration of 3 minutes. Example: if I loot the pig, then use the food, can I loot it again to get a second item?
Does it give me a stack like the mage tables do? Or am I only allowed to loot one from the mob at a time. Kinda a repeat of part of the last question. I'm sorry!
Is it a conjured item where if I log off after 15 minutes it will disappear? Or will it be available at a later time.
Can you trade the food to give it to a buddy who just missed the despawn of the piggie?

what annoys me is when i set out this lovely feast made by me with all my sweat and toil (on my fingers mostly) people in my groups and raids refuse to eat it, breaks my heart... *sob*

Short answer, no. As Nostalgicism said, it's not like Mage food, where clicking gives you Mana Biscuits that you can carry around. Instead, clicking starts your "eating/drinking" routine, so you regenerate health and mana, and after ten seconds you get the Well Fed buff, which lasts 60 minutes.

The Feast will stick around for about three minutes, so I wouldn't present one while my teammates are doing a corpse run; if they're alive but just in another room, they should be able to catch up before the pig vanishes. The Feast is soulbound to the cook, so the cook has to be in your party/raid at the time the Feast is served.

Similar items:
Dalaran Clam Chowder is provides a similar buff for solo adventurers. Clams can be farmed at any Murloc village in Northrend. This dish is freely tradeable.
Fish Feast (Introduced in 3.0.8) is the next step up, providing an even stronger buff for your party or raid. But it's not cheap: the recipe costs five Dalaran Cooking Awards, each Fish Feast requires four Northern Spices per Feast and requires Cooking 450.

If I set this down out of combat, can I use it during combat, I know health regen cuts down to 0 during combat (unless ur a troll) but would it work for at least mana?

Farm Guide for Great Feast

The Great Feast is an extremely effective and helpful method for raid wide buff food, second only to Fish Feast as far as raid food quality is concerned. I'm writing this little walkthrough/guide pretty much because I'm getting the mats to make 20 for raid night and I don't see a comprehensive farming guide.

Also, if you are a skinner you will love getting the ingredients for this feast. I usually get between 60-100 Borean Leather each time I farm for 20 of these.

Assumptions

You are level 80
You have some form of AoE (this will only affect timing, not the mobs or locations)
That you are farming for a full stack of feasts (in otherwords, 20 total feasts)

Ingredients

I list these again merely to give easy links to the other Wowhead pages on those specific ingredients.

Guide

Shoveltusk Flank

Starting from Dalaran, get on the flight plan to Westguard Keep. Once there, mount up and ride south along the coast. Every 40-70 yards there will be 4-7 Shoveltusks. The mobs you will be killing are:

Shoveltusk Calf (lvl 63-68)
Shoveltusk Stag (lvl 64-69)
Shoveltusk (lvl 63-68)

They are very low level so you should have no trouble blowing through them. Expect to spend about 10 minutes killing to get 20 flanks. Once you have all the flanks, turn around and go back to the Westguard flight point. From there, take a bird to either Dun Niffelem or K3 for the Worm Meat.

Worm Meat

Make your way to the cave where you get the oil for the Helm quest at Hodir. There are a reasonable number of mobs here with a fairly consistent repop rate. This will take longer then the Shoveltusk or Mammoth, mostly because you are single killing targets a lot of the time. I would say 15-20 minutes depending on luck and whether others are farming.

Kill:

Ravenous Jormungar

At this point you have two options: You can either head outside of the cave and kill the roaming mammoths or (and this is what I do) you can hearth to Dalaran and get on the flight path to Amber Ledge in Borean Tundra.

Chunk o' Mammoth

I choose to go to the Tundra for three reasons. First, there are tons of Mammoth there. Second, I can blow through 40 Mammoths in the time it would take me to kill 10 in Storm Peaks and wait on the repops. Third, I can kill until I get my mammoth meat, walking North as I kill and then I get dumped right in the Basin for the Chilled Meat. Saves time.

Kill:

20 Chunk o' Mammoth should take about 5 minutes.

From here, walk right into the Basin and kill everything there. They all drop Chilled Meat and you'll get your 40 needed extremely quickly.

And there it is, you have the ingredients needed to food buff your raid. It takes me about 35-45 minutes including travel time to get all of these ingredients. In addition, I make roughly 100g in leather (more if I get some Arctic Fur) and about 15g in grey drops. Well worth the time.

I love these on my new level 1 twink, figured out there's no level requirement to sit down and eat it, so all you need is a 70+ to set it up. Poor level 15-20 players/victims... As I'm a hordie, I killed Gamon without any trouble. Fun reactions from people who saw it as well, lol.

For making this, i have found three of the four ingredients west of the Storm Giant base. Stotic mammoths drop both Chilled meat and Chunk'O mammoth, and the Wandering Jormungar drop the Worm me and an occasional chilled meat in the same location. The last one is from shovel tusks in Howling Fjord (may also drop chilled meat, haven't gotten any myself yet.)
hope this is helpful to someone rather than getting each piece in a separate area.

Shoveltusk Flanks drop quite a bit in central Howling Fjord, whilst everything else you can get from the Jormungars and Mammoths in Storm Peaks between Brunnhildar Village and Dun Niffelem. Drop rate is about 35% for me on all of the meat.

These feasts can no longer be used by low levels to boost stats.

This nice to have, but not necessary for running instances and raids. It gives your party Attack Power, Spell Power and Stam buffs as well as replentish health and mana.

Pros:
It's great to put one down either at the start of a run or after a wipe. Everyone can eat and replentish health and mana, then buff the party and eat again to replace the mana lost to the buffs.

Cons:
It's not as convenient as the mage food--you can't take this with you.

It is a bit of a pain to get enough Chilled Meat to make many of these. The rest of the meat can be farmed pretty quickly and easily--just kill the type of animal that would drop it.

Note: The buff will overwrite any other 'Well Fed' buffs that one may have. This buff will also be overwritten by eating another type of food that gives the 'Well Fed' buff. So, if you have a preferred buff, other than +AP, +SP, +Stam you may want to eat another type of food.

Note2: When you place this down, the graphic looks like a roast pig. There is no pork contained in this dish.
