Leather tends to stack well and when stacking is done, it usually is easily transmuted. I would probably end up using this as one of my bank slots if I ever took the task of getting all of these mats together and making one.

Considering that it needs 360 skill to make, this is probably the best method to level up the last few points in leatherworking with. Less troubling mats compared to riding crop/heavy clefthoof/felstalker items.

On my server I sold it in AH for 50G in 3 minutes! Awesome!

It cover the cost of the mats required, but I will try to raise the price. Never seen in AH before.

Looking at the mats. On my server it is cheaper to buy this on AH than it is to make one yourself. I got mine for 70g and it was going to cost over 100g.

It won't hold my kingsblood, ironweb spider's silk or globe of water. All leatherworking reagents but alas, still taking up room in my bank while this bag has vacant slots. *Curses*

All that information is fine but all of you talk about the same thing. I want to know where can I find the bag of many hides at what cords, and on what animal, person or place to get it.

If you're a skinner, which you probably are if you even want this bag, the mats aren't really too bad at all, and they're gathered quickly and easily. If you're poor, this is a good way to level leatherworking as well (no primals, and it's orange through 370).

I just learned about this bag now, lol, and I was only missing the 3 rune thread and 2 nether dragonscales(which i got for 4g on the AH) to make it, and I didnt even know the mats beforehand so anyone should be able to make this rather cheap.

There seems to be a few bugs in the Contains... tab. Mainly because it shows that it can contain Engineering equipment, some of which has been removed from the game.

Here is a list where you can find all the unusual scales and hides:

Thick Clefthoof Lether: Nagrand, Allover, Clefthoofs
Netherdragonscale: Netherstorm, Celestial Ridge, Netherdrakes
Fel Hide: Shadowmoon Valley, Allover, Spawn of Uuvos?
Wind Scale: Blade's Edge Mountains, Wind Serpents?

well, i can say that this container is very great for a LWer like me, even as it is overnumbered in slots by the Trapper's Traveling Pack. I had never aquired the pattern to make this until i decided to farm the ogres above Shattrath with my lvl 80 rogue just to take it for "collection" reasons. It dropped from a Gordunni Back-Breaker in my 8th kill.

However, i found it very useful to place some of them in my bank slots, as it can hold almost everything used in LW, including all eternals, primals etc, as well as the "old" essence mats (fire, air, water etc) and still the skinning knives, the Salt Shaker to make Refined Deeprock Salt, Light Feathers, Large Fangs and so on. For a weird reason it cannot hold the Globe of Water, although it is used to make Gauntlets of the Sea.

The only difficulty to make it is the unusual leather mats such as wind scales, fel hide, thick clefthoof lether and nether dragonscales, which it can be sometimes a real pain to collect.

I went up the the Barrier Hills just above the Aldor rise, and I only had to kill 3 ogres to get the pattern. I believe since they increased the drop rate of patterns that it dropped this fast.

I also bought one and was very pleased to find out that this bag holds everything I hoped it would hold including the following:

- all leathers
- all hides
- all threads
- salt
- deeprock salt
- spider's silk
- iron buckles
- leatherworking patterns
- deviate scale
- perfect deviate scale
- raptor hide
- large fang
- slimy murloc scale
- black whelp scale
- long tail feather
- all dye

the only things which I tried and it didnt accept was
- small lustrous pearl
- elixir of minor agility
- elixir of defense
- zhevra leather (which has become useless anyway)

The pattern drops off the Gordunni Ogres above Shattrath City in the Barrier Hills. It has a relatively high drop rate.

Yes, you can use this bag in the bank.

In addition to my previous post I found that this bag will also hold:

- jet black feather
- thick spider's silk
- essences of air, earth, water and fire
- heart of fire
- elemental earth and water
- living essence
- flask of mojo

It will however not hold:

- flask of big mojo
- powerful mojo
- coarse gorilla hair
- guardian stone

Just got this to drop from the Ogres above Shattrath City, the 70+ ones above the Aldor Terrace. Also found out it will hold Motes of Fire.

The drop rate for this thing isn't very good...i have killed about 100+ of those orges above shattrath.... perhaps i am just unlucky? anyone have any ideas on what i might be doing wrong?

I used this recipe to level up from 363 to 370. In all I crafted 7 and purchased 2 to re-sell at a higher price, because the original seller was under-selling for 50g while everyone else was trying around 90g buy-out. Mine sold for an average of 70g each. (One of them I kept for myself). So, not only did I get 7 skill points, I also got about 400-500g and a 24 slot LW bag for myself!

*Note you can only equip one of these bags at a time.*

I farmed all the materials myself, you can buy them but you'll never make even half the cost of the mats back. The best thing about grinding all the heavy and clefthoof leather in nagrand was, I also easily got the 8 x halaa research tokens to get the 18 slot bag (much cheaper/easier than buying one)! And the vendor junk from all the grinding also sold for ~100g! Talbuk and Clefthoof meat also sold well, around 5-8g per stack, I made about 6 stacks of each (so ~60g in total). So I estimate this venture has made me about ~500-700g!

Grinding the materials was easy, all be it mind-numbing. Just look on thottbot to see the best grinding spots for each item. It took my green lvl70 hunter about 10 hours to get all the mats spread over 7-8 grinding sessions. Easily what it would have taken to get the equivalent primals for the other recipes at this level, most of which are yellow or green by 355 anyway.

In closing, if you’re a LW reading this don’t let idiots sell it for under 50g, and make sure you sell yours for a fair price. Ours is one of the grindiest professions to level and we deserve good money for good items. By all means be competitive and undercut other sellers but if you see people severely underselling, just buyout and resell for profit like I did. It forces the prices up to a fair price, and frankly, a LW bag that holds this much is worth AT LEAST 60-70g.

Many thanks to all the posters above! Took me about 24 kills but this is really worth it, even if I only make one or two for me. :-)

I just love these locally-farmed drops and have made money from several of them (Blue Dragonscale Shoulders) for a long time. I only wish there were more.

A few more things that will inexplicably fit or not fit...

Will fit:
- Wildvine
- Any feathers or scales but not Arakkoa feathers
- All motes and primals
- Elemental Water but not Elemental Fire or Globe of Water
- No pearls or gemstones that I tried
- No cloths or spider silks
- Nothing made by LW, no armor or kits or Riding Crops

In TBC Classic, this bag cannot hold elemental materials like motes or primals, even though the "Can contain" section lists them.
