the item itself is in the bottom of the ship located around 71,80. Theres an island with some seals on it. After youve picked up the armor used " Harrys Bomber" to transport you back to the pirate camp. Makes it easier to run back to the quest giver.

You must kill AND LOOT at least one Vengeful Kvaldir before you can loot the armor.
If, as happened in my case, some jerk runs in and ninjas the armor while you are killing the second V.K. that appears, you will have to wait for about three minutes for another Vengeful Kvaldir, kill and loot it, and then you will be able to loot the armor.
Apparently it does not matter who kills & loots the V.K. ... whoever gets to the armor first can ninja-loot it.
In addition, when I came out of the boat with the armor, there were numerous V.K.s wandering around on the little island and I had to kill three of them to get to the plane and fly back.

Note that for getting to this, when you have the quest do NOT start traveling, just find the guy with the planes and ask him for a ride there :) else it can be a pain in the ass going through all those dwarfs etc :) good luck

oh and when you get on the ship, turn right, head down the stairs and to the back of the room there, the armor is right in front of you in the air (there might be a big dude walking down there but just slap hes ass silly.
