Also got a few items that are appearently for rep turnins with Netherwing: Nethercite Ore, Netherdust Pollen

Yeah i found an egg too... so that pretty much confirms it... EGGS DO DROP.

Obviously at a rate that is just not worthwhile grinding for...

DOES contain Eggs and the chance is fairly high. Got my first egg on my 20th object.

im going to go ahead and call BS. After 125k+ loots, Wowhead still has not recorded a single looting of an egg from this object..

Im going to need to see a SS of someone looting a egg from this to believe it.

even if it dropped one time out of that 125k that would make it over 25 times more rare than the rarest dropped pet in the game, the Hyacinth Macaw.

People are on here claiming they are looting eggs from it right and left.. "Second object I opened." "Got my first egg on my 20th object." "Not 20 minutes after I found an egg in the mine."

Put up a link to a screenshot of you looting it from the sludge and then i'll believe it. Until then i will remain a skeptic, and i recommend everyone else to do the same.

Just thought I'd end the does it drop Netherwing Egg discussion.

I've looted 5 eggs now within a week. Uploaded a screenshot of the sludge being opened with an egg inside.

Haven't had an egg drop from a sludge-covered, however one dropped from the ooze itself on my 20th kill or so. Have uploaded a screenshot to the creature's page which will hopefully be approved.

and also mobs drop egs in 2 days just doing quests i find 10 egs :D

I can confirm that it IS possible to obtain a Netherwing Egg from one of these, I just thought that maybe there's a chance so I just killed an Ooze and got the Sludge-Covered Object and to my surprise it contained a Netherwing Egg.

I can confirm that they do drop the plans but it takes a VERY long time, at least in my case. I was grinding there for about an hour. However it wasn't that bad. I had one egg drop from a sludge, and found two! Anyways, I'm a very happy camper!

I am confirming as well that the Netherwing Egg does drop out of the Sludge-Covered Object. I opened one while in Black Temple this evening and it dropped. I posted a screenshot showing the looting of it in-between rep gains for Ashtongue proving I couldn't have been near the questing zone to loot one any other way.

Usualy contains some grey item, sometimes contains either ore, pollen or leather for the turn in quests or a queststarter that leads to this quest

i really suggest that u open all these Sludges since i used to leave them and not loot them, i was lucky oneday that i opened one and got this loot ''Murkblood Escape Plans'' which begins a quest https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/quest=11081/the-great-murkblood-revolt/.

It actually DO contain netherwing eggs ... its just a rare drop.

i wish the vendor trash in these was actually worth something : / if your bags are filling up in the caves, make sure you throw out some of the grays to make space for good lewts :)

thanks for the lesson in inventory management :P

plans dropped for after about 30 blood ooze kills once i was friendly with netherwing. probably 2/3's of those kills yielded openable sludge, so probably below 5% drop rate for me.

however, drop rate listed on thott is for everyone, including folks for whom the plans would not drop, so its not as bad as it seems just looking at this page

as well as the plans and the (admitedly tiny) chance at an egg these are great for anyone who hasnt got skinning/herblore/mining (im tailor/enchant)

it drops the stuff from all 3 for handing in
