This is an odd ring to say the least. It's true that tanks can lack hit rating but personally I'd rather see something like dodge rating or shield block. That would, however, make it a clone of almost every other tanking ring, though.

This is an awesome ring to have as tank for your resistance gear. It has the highest + defense rating on it and a very large chunk of stamina.

Stamina and defense rating are ussually the two things that suffer a lot when gearing for a certain resistance.

I agree, ive acheived a level of dmg metigation that will keep me safe for the vast majority of end game encounters, but sadly I havent found anything with +hit and appropriate tank stats, I miss a lot... this can be dangerous on some pulls, as a druid tank with an abundance of dodge. Mob swings at me, I dodge (no rage generated); I swing at the mob, miss (no rage generated); mage unleashes massive fireball (muchos rage generated). and well things have the potential to go bad from there.

you dont wanna socket hit as a war/ pala, ever.
8 hit is NOT what you want to replace your 12 stams with, in fact you dont want to replace that at all if poss.
the lack of hit on plate tank gear is very bad tho ye, so gogo this, even tho ill never get it ;p
