I've been looking for these forever... i've killed (not even kidding) over 100 of the mobs that dropped it and i said to myself "Ok, thats it, one more kill. After this im just gunna search the AH for the others" the VERY LAST kill got me my one and only serpent flesh after ohh... 1 and a half HOURS of lookin for em! I CAME HERE TO SEE IF THEY EVEN DROPPED!!! just thought i'd like you all to know that the droprate is probably accurate but for me i was very unlucky becuz i had (from mobinfo) a .3% chance droprate... the funny part is that i only want these formulas so i can get those last 10 cooking levels 0.o

If you need serpent flesh fast, I'd recommend a little North, East and South of Death's Door. fantastic drop rate. Scalewing Serpents drop them.

So, listen tiger, I can understand your discomfort with all the phallus talk, but at least proofread your comments, particularly with a subject title like "Idiots." The plural of penis would actually be penises... not penis', which is the plural possessive form... as in, "You are all of these penis' %^&*!, therefore you are to serve all penises."

The felsworn serpents do NOT drop these, at least not very fracking often. Go a bit south of the ethereal camp and kill Scalewing Serpents and they will drop.

I was killing felsworns for days before I thought of finding another spot.

Looks like TB nerfed the icon, though it still shows up on Live with the old one. I'll have to check the PTR for patch 2.1 and see if they changed it.

Edit: Yep, they changed the icon for 2.1, lol. I've uploaded a screenshot, so if the moderators accept it, you can see what the original looked like.

I sent one of these around my guild (with the original icon), as a "pass it on" kind of thing. It only got through about 3 people until somebody cooked it. And oh man... I don't think he's ever going to live that one down.

lol..you've killed 20 and got none..I've killed a handful and gotten 2. Problem is..I only see a Horde quest for this recipe..and this toon is Alliance. Maybe it's another bug..kinda like the non-existant gem needed for a trinket recipe I got on the Horde side.

Black Temple patch :

Alliance Cooks can now purchase the Mok'Nathal Shortrib and Crunchy Serpent recipes at Toshley's Station.

Trade Goods vendor sells them at Toshley's Station, Blade's Edge Mountains - 60,69 near the Gryphon. They are both BOP.

If you are lower lvl char you can still get them by running through cave from Zangarmarsh, you will get attacked by spiders in the cave but just keep going and if you die you rez at Toshley's Station which is very handy :)

ya the drop rate suxxx... i thought we got a health buff for lvlin cooking to 375... am i wrong?

My girlfriend bringed up about 150 of that meat in 3 days while farming scales for her crafted moonkin set. Drop rate is pretty good and nobody farm it on Lightning's Blade, making them easier to farm than basilisk meat.
Finally, in date of 19/07/2007, i'm Alliance and bought that receipe at Toshley's Station in Blade's Edge Mountain, just at the enter of the inn, can't miss the vendor.
Meat drops from the mobs as listed on thottbot.

Hope this could help some people, we grind all kind of meat for our raids, it's usefull.

You can buy this Recipe from Toshley's Station from Sassa Weldwell in Blade's Edge. Also you can buy the recipe for Mok'Nathel Shortribs (raptor meat 20stam 20spirit)

The Serpent Flesh ain't even a quest item, so you can get this item even if you dont have the quest or if you are an ally.

68,55 Found lots of Scalewing serpents. And a much higher drop rate then the Felsworn scalewings (killed like 20 and didn't see a single one).

There's even an area called the Scalewing Shelf at 69.26 58.65 but few scalewings were there. Might have been their day off. But I found a whole bunch of them in the southern part of the Shelf, Northwest of Vekhaar Stand at 68.40 67.96. Watch out for Maggoc, who patrols that area as well as the invisible spiders. Drop rate was about 30%.
