Also sold by an NPC in Ruuan Weald for Horde.

I was quite thankful once a guildie found this out. Cooking daily = easy mats and gold.

Honestly, I've only had luck farming this item from the Bladespire Ravager. Even though they're lvl 67 elites, I found that they drop Raptor Ribs a hell of a lot more than the other raptors in Blade's Edge Mountains.

I totally suggest if you're not willing to spend the coin to purchase this item, farm it from these. You'll definately find out, you have much more success.

For some reason these guys Felsworn Daggermaw dropped more than all the other raptors on Blade's Edge Mountains

If you read the quest carefully it doesnt tell that its the daggermaw Lashtails it says scalewings...dont go into the Drake pit you're gona die easily if youre not a mage! I had to run back to my original spot after tempting that place

You need daggermaw Lashtails that drops the rib at 23% of time and the best place is : 64.56

There is plenty of them !

For capping your cooking, you need either Raptor Ribs or Serpent Flesh. Here's a simple guide of where/how to do this efficiently.

You can visit the link for the lashtails or serpents below, and see where they are located. Head to Blade's Edge Mountains at Toshley's Station (Alliance, not sure about Horde), then travel north past the ogres, and you will find them all around the road where it splits (south to netherdrakes, north to ethereal people).
Please be careful, as there is a "Son of Gruul" wandering around that is a high level elite and will probably 1-2 shot you. Just keep your eyes peeled. He favors the road itself, but can aggro from a short distance away.

Travel between the following waypoints for the best grinding area.
|> 61.5, 55.2 <|> 68.4, 73.7 <|> 67.7, 49.4 <|

Herbalists: You'll find a few nodes of Felweed and Dreaming Glory in the area.
Miners: I only ran into 1 Adamantite deposit, 1 Fel Iron Deposit, and a possible Khorium spawn (at 62.7, 50.4).
Skinners: You'll have all you want to skin here, as the mobs you're targetting are both skinnable.

You will find the following creatures in the area. While only the lashtails and serpents drop the meat you want, you can still complete two quests (if you haven't yet) while you are out there.

Every now and then, they give you a Disease debuff which does not really hurt (15 damage/tick), but can be a pain for classes which stealth. If you are a rogue, you can Cloak of Shadows to remove it.

Uses a lightning attack that is not considered a spell, and thus can not be interrupted except by stunning the mob.

Ridgespine Stalker

These are hiding along the hills and edges of the ledge. Very hard to see, as they are the same color as the environment and have 50% stealth. They do poison, which you rogues can remove by using your Cloak of Shadows like the disease above.
