The Respawn time for these bags are every 10 minutes, they will restock every 10 mins, if there is a bag there for 8 mins, and you buy it, it will take 2 mins for the next one to repop, its more of a reset item

Man, was I angry when I got this for my miner and excitedly put all my mining stuff in it only to discover that gems (tigerseye, malachite, shadowgem, etc) cannot be placed in it.
Why is it that gems (which you get from mining) cannot be placed in this mining bag?
The world may never know.

I think that is because Indurium ore is a quest item and as far as i know, has no other purpose.

The only thing I want to know is why Blizzard thinks only high level chars in outland would think, 'Gee... i could really use a bag to carry all this ore and stone... Maybe I should make one.'

Why can you only get one in Outland, and why does it cost so much? Bags are kind of an old idea, I think...

Any other items identified with blacksmithing

You can also get and use a Gem Pouch (20 slot) that will hold:
Gemstones
Pearls

It will not hold:
Power Stones
Arcanums
Essences
It will not hold any of the LBRS gemstones

I have asked this question in-game, and received no answer thus far. I have also done a search here to see if I could find the answer to my question---to no avail. Here is my question, the answer which may be obvious to all but me. Do these new bags and pouches which are called by their respective names, such as Gem Pouch or Toolbox for engineers, or Mining bag, etc. function differently than normal backpacks. Blizzard created the Key area where keys can be stored and not count against the space available. Do the bags go in one of the five available slots for bags? Or, can you put all ore or bars inside (or gems, or leather as the case may be) inside the bag. In other words, if I have a leather pouch equipped, can I put all my leather inside that bag (which presumably would be inside my other bags)? I think I answered my own question. But, if someone can confirm for me how Blizzard intended these bags to be used, I would appreciate it.

Additionally now, it looks like, Mining bags can hold motes and primals of Earth and Fire, since you can mine them in Outlands.

Someone below suggested that Bliz have a Skinner's Bag. Well while I was searching for mining bags, patterns for same, etc., I found that they have high level Leather Bags.

For, nothing other than leather working. Which obviously (I hope) means Skinners can use it to store leather.

Unfortunately, like some of these specialty bags can only be gotten from Outland sites.

The benefit of all item-specific bags is that they are generally larger than other general purpose bags you would have access to at that level (e.g. you can buy an Herb Pouch at 1st level, which is a 12-slot bag that only holds herbs (duh) when most of the bags you might have at lower levels are 6-slot or maybe 8-slot). Now there are item-specific bags whose capacity exceeds even the largest general purpose bags (e.g Reinforced Mining Bag which I believe is a 28-slot mining bag).

Other than the limitation as to what can be placed in these bags, they function the same as general-purpose bags (can be placed in a backpack slot on your character, can be put in a bag slot in your bank, etc.). Most Bind on Pickup (which only the higher end general purpose bags tend to do) but if you loot (or pick or mine) an item of the type the bag is designed to hold (and the bag is not full), the item automatically goes into the bag (e.g. you pick an herb, it will go into your herb pouch (if there is room) automatically, not just into the next available backpack slot).

I mainly use these in my bank to stockpile mats between crafting grinds.

Also, am I the only one to think there should (or is there, and I have just never seen it?) be a "Skinning Bag" that skinners could buy (or that could be crafted by Leatherworkers/Tailors) with the expanded capacity of other specialty bags, so skinners don't have to use all their bank space for stacks of the different types of leather/hides?

Note that Blizzard just recently added the subclass "Mining Bags" under the Container classification. That should be added to the site's list. I did notice Gem Bags was already added to the list.

You CAN store the following in Mining Sack

�Ores
�Bars
�Stones Solid, Rough, Dense etc. (but NOT any once made into Grinding Stones)
�Mining Pick

You CANNOT store the following in Mining Sack

*Motes of any type (sad really)
*Shadow Draenite
*Indurium Ore (I dunno why this stuff exists)
*Demonic Rune Stones
*Blacksmith Hammer
*any of the ungoro power crystals
it also does NOT hold blacksmithing recipies/plans or Grinding Stones

as far as Gems I would Image so, but the title is what I know and I dont, so there

You can put ORE and Bars and Stones , Like rough , coarse , Dense .Ect
For Gems you Can also Get a Gem Bag and for Powders like Blasting Powder you can get the Engineering Bag .... You Must be lvl 58 and be able to go thru the Dark Portal to see the Vendor otherwise you are stuck with Auction House Prices you can Own them at any lvl I bought a few for one of my mules that hold Bars and Ore

This sack carries-

a. Your Mining Pickaxe

b. All ores

c. All bars

d. All stones

This sack does NOT hold anything else that might come from a mining node including all motes and gems.

At first I thought this bag was a waste of money, however when I checked my bank, I realized I had many items to swap out into my mining bag. Also, with the mining bag, all your materials are available to you directly... no more running to the bank!

There are quite a few of these on my server�s AH for 35g buyouts. Considering how little trouble it takes to buy them at 9g and auction it on, a 26g mark-up is ridiculous.

So now I tend to buy one whenever the innkeeper has them in stock and then I put a few up for 15g BO's, thus making a little profit for my trouble and completely screwing you rip-off merchants. :)

What gets me is that you can't put coal in this sack. If that's not mining stuff, I don't know what is. You have to have it to smelt steel.

Mining Sacks will hold bars, ores, stones, and your mining pick. They will not hold gems, motes, and primals. They do not hold any items related to blacksmithing. Hence, there are no MINING recipes that could be held in them. Blacksmithing and mining are seperate professions.

As of Patch 2.3, motes of fire and earth, primal fire and earth also go into the bag. theese will also fit into engineering bags.

there may be more things, but those are the only primals and motes that will fit

If you get it with a mining pick, then it oughta go in the mining bag! Duh! Especially since the blacksmithing hammer is now allowed.
