This drops from trash all over Karazhan.
Interesting to know is that Rittsyn is spelled diffrently on this neck from how it's spelled on the wand that drops from Baron Rivendare.
Which is spelled Ritssyn, probably just a typo though.

My guild's done kara about ten times with one group, twice with the other. This has yet to drop.. is this normal, or are we just horribly unlucky with trash epics?

Ironically enough, I was browsing wowhead yesterday at work and stumbled upon this necklace. I instantly decided I wanted it for my shadow priest, but upon looking at the drop rate, realized I would probably never get it or it would be a LONG time before I did. I figured that if it did ever drop, there would be a lock or another sp in the party that would end up getting it (knowing my luck).

Well, last night my guild decided to run Kara. We were clearing trash in the room before Moroes and low and behold it drops. I look around and realized I'm the only one in the whole raid with shadow magic.

So naturally it falls to me. I couldn't believe my luck; I'm never lucky. But now I'm a very happy girl. :)

Dropped tonight from trash right before Attunemen. And me was the only shadow damage dealing member of the party, so ... YEAH! :-)

Ran kara since it came out and only seen it drop once. Horribly low drop rate but NOTHING beats it for a shadow priest. Maybe necklace from RoS but hard to say.

every lock and SP in our guild had it

Maybe they buffed the drop rate. We went through 5 bosses last night (4hrs) and this dropped 3 times from the trash. We gave one out to the warlock and 2 priests.

Very, very good shadow priest necklace, one of the best, if not the best. Has no crit and nice stam.

Got this on about my 5th Kara run. Dropped from a Trapped Soul, a warlock got it though, since I just got Moroes's necklace, but luckily enough for me, another one dropped immediately after from another Trapped Soul, that one I did get and was very happy.

I have literally run Kara every week for the past 8 months and have NEVER seen it drop.

I got this baby a month ago by default since I was the only caster using shadow damage in our raid group with enough DKP to buy it, and I'm loving every bit of it! It's just like having two Orb of the Soul-Eaters! It dropped off one of the Arcane Watchmen https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/npc=16485.

Nerfed in beta build 8926. No longer adds 51 shadow spell power. Now just adds 42 spell power.

only 5th time in KARA, and it drops, Only lock in group. Our shadow priest was supposed to run with us but had PC/ROuter issues and couldnt make the run...

First run with my shadowpriest and i got this baby, neutral rep. A warlock in the guild who needed it has never seen it drop before and hes exalted, too bad he couldnt make it :P:P.

But later on fate got me, i saw Gorehowl disenchanted right in front of me ><

Super low drop rate off of kara trash. I ran kara until exalted and a few full clears past exalted and saw it drop once, I got it :D

We got 2 on the same trashs mob pull yesterday, I got one with my holy priest because all shadow users already had it. It's the 3rd time this neck drop for us :)

been running Kara 1-3 days a week every week for 4 months, hit exalted with VE long ago, and its never dropped.

but a lot of the locks/spriests in our guild's other teams seem to have it already. very annoying. >.<

Just got it last night off of trash mobs oon our way to Shade. Say it pop up and we were all like "WHOA!" I was the only lock in the group at the time and was given to me. Although one of the HOLY PRIESTS wanted to make a stink about it for an "off spec" build. FOOL!

It dropped off trash on our way to Attumen, during my very first visit to Karazhan back in March.

The shadow priest with us already had it, so being the only other shadow caster, I received it.

At that momment I thought it was a very nice item, but being from trash, that it was probabbly a frequent drop. I was wrong: I never saw it drop again since then...

I ran Kara this past Sunday night and it dropped on our way to the Maiden of Virtue.

I was the only caster (lock) that shadow dmg even applied to in our raid party, so I got it. Still would prefer to have the broach neck piece that drops off Moroes because of the +hit. But for pure dmg this is darn nice!

This was my second time in Kara.

It IS the best necklace period for Shadow dmg users. Nothing else in the game even in Black Temple is better. It dropped twice the very first night I ever stepped into Kara. I got it and a holy priest got the other as there were no other locks, etc. Saw it only once after that monthsss later.

I finally got my Kara key tonight from completely Black Morass, and then went back to Shattrah to get the Master's Key. 5 minutes before that, they said on our alliance channel they had a free spot for a Kara run cleared up to near Illistrial and wanted a warlock. I offered myself up, went to Khadgar, got meeting stoned down to Deadwind immediately, and 10 minutes later got this off of an Arcane Protector! Their regular Warlock had to take the night off. :D

Illidan and Archimonde on farm, ran 3 alts exalted through Karazhan. It never dropped.

My shadow priest in full T6 still uses the necklace of Moroes. Mhhhhhee.

Got it off a thrash Mob just before Curator. Won it for my shadow priest on a roll with a Lock. Pissed the Lock off.

Best Spell Damage Shadow in the game, even as per Armory. Not gonna replace this ever as a Shadow pure dps Priest.
