Provides about 4.61 weapon skill at level 70 which, in addition to the normal benefits from weapon skill, gives +0.461% crit against mobs with a level of 71 or higher.

For reference, 5 weapon skill reduces the enemy's chance to dodge, block and parry your hits by 0.2%, and increases your chance to hit and crit by 0.2%.

The important thing to know about weapon skill, as far as raiding goes, is that once you've gotten to the cap on hit % (roughly 342 hit rating at 360 weapon skill), additional weapon skill allows you to not only switch out a certain, albeit small, amount of hit for other stats, it also further increases the dps from your white swings and instants (as a rogue, or even as a fury warrior). Since white hits constitute roughly 60% of a rogue's dps, weaponskill is actually a rather valuable stat. These gloves, as well as The Belt of One-Hundred Deaths off of Vashj, are extremely good for rogues, especially since they are obtained before hyjal and black temple.

The new Expertise attribute decreases the enemy's chance to parry and dodge at the following rate:

1 Expertise = 3.9 Expertise Rating = -0.25% enemy parry and dodge, so -1% parry and dodge = ~15.6 Expertise Rating.

After the Weapon Skill -> Expertise change in patch 2.3, these gloves offer approximately -1.15% enemy parry and dodge.

and you will get 22.07 expertise skill or 5.5% dodge/parry reduction

(expertise skill is only valuable in whole numbers)

What are you talking about? These are excellent gloves, for rogues that is, because of the skill increase in maces, swords, unarmed, and their favorite, daggers. Not to mention the stamina and agility. And let's not forget the attack power.

Open your character profile window ingame. Go to "skills", look for "unarmed" skill. Unarmed IS fist skill.
