For the tank rings, reputation with The Scale of the Sands -

Currently the only reputation gained from Friendly to Exalted is through killing bosses in Hyjal Summit, but in a future patch (2.2), there will be reputation awarded for killing trash.

Just reached Exalted tonight, and I'd agree with the forte priest on that one. Around 1 minute cooldown, can't say exactly, could be 45sec, could be 1,5 min. I'm a warrior, but I doubt there's a difference between them.

Can also confirm the healer version does NOT proc of hots. As for now, at least. And something that's maybe obvious is that the Defender-one does not proc when you dodge/parry. You must take damage for it to proc.

Animation on the proc is the same as Paladin's Blessing of Protection.

This item along with all the other exalted rings have a 45sec hidden cooldown on their proc from the buff fades, 55 second after the proc happens.

This is the Scale of the Sand exalted version of the Band of Eternity, tanking version.

Excellent ring. You receive lower versions of this ring once your rep becomes friendly. This version of the ring is the highest and can only be obtained by being exhalted with the Scale of the Sands faction.

You get this upgrade by talking to an NPC once you have gained an exalted reputation, it won't be marked "?" for you, so keep an eye out for NPCs with a yellow "!" above their head.

You can get this quest from Soridormi once you are exalted with scale of sands. Bring your Band of Eternity and you'll get Band Of the Eternal Defender

The proc removes Scroll of Protection V. If you use the scrolls frequently you should consider to stay at the previous revered version Band of Eternity.
