Do these work like leather armor kits (i.e. they can be traded and anyone can apply it), or are they self-use only?

Can you cast these in the do not trade slot? I assume not because this would allow you to circumvent the lvl 60 requirement.

These work like Leather Armor Kits and can be traded to other players. The level 60 requirement only applies to the item they are slapped onto. You can enchant it either via trade-window's do not trade box or simply trade the item to another player for a fee.

While this item isn't BoP, then the Primal Nether is, which is a reagent in this recipe - so the maker basically have to enter a heroic instance, kill the endboss and get the 1 Primal Nether that the last boss drops.

Use: Permanently embroids spellthread into pants increasing healing by up to 66 and stamina by 20.

Silver Spellthread doesn't explicitly say that it doesn't stack with other enchants either, but it didn't when I tested it, so it's pretty safe to assume this one won't either.

Of course that's just speculation, someone is welcome to try it. I don't have one of these on any of my items so I couldn't.

This item does works on low-level BoE items in 2.1, so Blizzard didn't "fix" it. It still requires a lvl 60+ to put it on, but the item will stay BoE, so you can trade/mail it to your twink.

Just got a pair of these for my 19 priest (upgrade from Silver Spellthread). Worked like a charm.

Yes the golden spellthread still works on low lvl items, just like 'slavikus' said. I just put it on my twink priest legs aswell, theyre awsome :D

In WoTLK, these and "Runic Spellthread" are exactly the same due to the implementation of global "spell power". So when twinking casters atm, I'd go with this one as its usually cheaper on the AH. You can save 150g+ if your twink won't be ready before Wrath hits.

Only if you are very sure to wear that pants for some time!

For 5 Primal Life you get 46+ heal and 15stam.
Compared to 10Primal Life / 10 Primal Nether for 51+ heal und 18 stam uhm dunno -.-

Golden spellthread got an upgrade since last patch.
The new stats are: +66 heal, 20 stamina

It can be crafted and then traded.
Only problem is with getting Primal Nether cause You have to visit heroic instances to obtain it.

This item can be crafted by Aldor Tailors that are exalted after they buy the pattern and learn it. It requires 10 Primal Life, 1 Primal Nether, and 1 Rune Thread, Primal Life can be bought in the Auction House or farmed in places (I use Zangamarsh myself) the Rune thread u can buy from any local tailoring supplies vendor, the Primal Nether "can" drop in non-heroic instances but much better chance in heroic instances. It can be applied onto lower level items, but the one applying must be level 60+, and it will not bind the item. has +5 more healing and +3 more stamina then its lower version, Mystic Spellthread. Many twinks enjoy this enchant if they are paladins/priests/druids/etc. Ok everyone?

PS If anyone can create this or has one for sale come to my server Azgalor and talk to one of my characters that i will be playing on ocassionally: Bamugotanked or Excobomb or Ixtwinkxl, Thank you.

this item can be bought at the Ah as it is BoE even if the primal nether is BoP to make it it can be sold in the Ah so great for healbot twinks

Nope, i tried it... doesnt work in trade window like enchanting. Just make sure and have a 60 do it BEFORE you soulbind your pants...

you guys.. silver spellthread is 5 less healing and 3 less stam, so what? is 5 healing worth 5 primal lifes (which on my server go for 15g+ each) AND a nether (if craftd by someone else could cost up to 125g)..

EDIT: in patch 2.1, golden spellthread will now be 66 healing and 20 stam, might be worth thinking about after the patch if you've got the extra lifes and gold for nether

since this now does 20 more healing and 5 more stamina than silver spell thread, i might actually get it. This buff has been needed since the expansion. It now makes sense to use a primal life for each additional heal.

Patch 2.3.0 Golden Spellthread will also grant 22 spell damage.

For those who are wondering if this has been nerfed:

As of Patch 2.2.3 (12th Nov) I have just put it on level 29 Pants Elder's Pants of the Eagle for my GF and it worked fine.

I was a 70 Pally, she traded both the pants and thread to me, I applied it then traded the pants back, they did not soul bind to me and now I am gonna get laid!

I can post picks for those interested (pics of the enchanted pants you sickos!)

I love this because it's EXTREMEMLY CHEAP. All you do is go to zangermarsh and farm the withered bog giants just north of the eastern flight path in "The Dead Mire" for the primal lifes. It's 100x easier easier if you're an herbalist, but as posted above its probably a days worth of farming for almost anyone. I threw these on the same pants as "Mr. now i'm gettin' laid" did and they're awesome for my priest twink and just as good on my 19 twink too. IF YOU FARM FOR THE MATS, all you have to do is pay for the primal nether, on my server 50g is the average reasonable cost and rune thread is 45s.

Back when primal nethers were BOP (you know, last week), tailors in your guild would more or less give them to you for free. In general, they didn't have anything to do with nethers but make stuff for people. Now that a nether is something you can sell or buy off the AH, I'm guessing it'll be a little trickier to get somone to just throw in the nether for free. So mats-wise, this just went up in cost by 150G or so, depending on your server. The nether is now worth more than the 10 primal life. Still worth it if you have the dough.
