Consider Purified Shadow pearl if your short on gold or not planning on keeping the item long term. Much, much cheaper. Also a nice way to level JC from 350-360. Very easily farmed mats.

best resto shaman gem hands down, 1+ mp5 is generally considered to be worth 7 to 9 +heal (depending on who you ask), if your a shaman get this gem FFS :D

the difference between this and purified shadow pearl that it is 10 item levels higher, this explains the stat difference (just incase your going to argue, 2mp5>4spirit in stat value cost, which is why this item should be in general considered superior to the shadow pearl, however this also explains the cost imbalance

I just picked one of these up for my Elemental Shaman. With 2.3 it gives 3 spell damage as well. So it gives an alternative to casters that want a little mana too. I'm not fond of pure Mp5 Gems, but there isn't much to choose from before epic drops...now there's at least a choice.

One thing about this gem is that your getting more bang for your buck, since its a hybrid gem it should be 9 healing and 1.5 mana per 5, but since blizzard rounds up you get an extra .5 mana per 5.

Also it should be noted, that in PvP for any healing class, Healing and Mp5 hybrid gems are far better than raw healing, especially as alot of arena teams are drain / outlast builds. I highly suggest this over the living ruby in PvP, it's cheaper too.

Worthless for PvE druids, priceless for PvP druids. Arena druid gear has zero spirit on it, so mp5 is worth alot more.

probly the best healing gem in my opnion, even htough its around 50g on Dunemaul alliance server, it really is nice getting +healing and mana regen.

One of the easiest obtainable good (blue) healing gems.
If you - as healer - have end-game gear and no epic gems -> just get it. It will pay back!

The mp5 is a good extra too...

On Echo Isles these are around 50g each but I bought the uncut gem for 25 ish. So to those of you that wanna buy the gem, save yourself some gold and just have someone cut it for you and tip them well. You'll make them happy and save some money
