This can be recieved as a drop while doing https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/quest=9355. Kill a few more after completion if you need to; I had to kill 18 worms in total. Saves on farming for it later on.

i see a pretty low drop rate... maybe it`s so low because ppl grinded those mobs... i hope it is like that :DD

In case you're wondering, like I was, if this can be looted after completing the quests at the Cenarion Post, it can.
This was one of the quests I was missing, and able to go back and complete, after finishing all the others I found, including all the quests started at the Cenarion Post.

And here are my numbers:

Going for the "To Hellfire and Back" achievement i was stuck at 85. So many quests removed/broken chains (Mag'har, Shattered Hall Key) i had two left : Hellfire Fortifications and Missing Missive.

Since all towers where Horde i decided to try my luck with the Marauding Crust Bursters a little southwest of Honor Hold.

After 188 kills i got this result:

Fractured Carapace .... 153
Twitching Leg .............. 26

and inbetween in this order :

Tarnished Plate Bracers
Ango'rosh Helm of the Sorcerer
Eroded Mail Bracers
Outlander's Gloves of Nature Protection (enchant not listed in the database)
Dense War Staff (not listed as a drop)
Starfire Vest of the Invoker
Moldy Leather Gloves
Eroded Mail Armor
Sharpened Stilleto (not listed as a drop)

but NO Eroded Leather Case :-(

By this time i noticed that the Alliance was capping the towers so i went to recap.

By completion of the Hellfiere Fortifications quest (nr. 86) i was very very glad to see the achievement pop. No more Crust Bursters !

Few tips though when killing them and you're (around) level 85.

its hard to get into combat, you have to be exactly in front of the rubble or the worm will quickly loose interest.

stay on your mount till in the worm emerges, you much faster enter combat this way

especially casters should use their mount, it gives them good speed to gain distance

The 'good' part of killing them beneath Honor Hold is that the spawn rate is so insane high that you simply cant run out of worms. Even when one-shotting them.

To conclude: i cant confirm if the Case drops or not. And no, i wont continue trying. Thank you!

BTW. As a small consolation price i got to kill Fulgorge :-))

This took ages on my kitty druid.....45 worms and just got it.....im lvl 62.

Took me about 30 kills, then about five popped out of the ground at once, killed 'em all and got it.

Don't bother with the Tunnelers. Get it from the Marauding Crust Bursters.

If it does'nt drop, try deleting Evergreen Pouch from your bags. Maybe just a stupid thing but it's a unique item and may help. You never know with Blizzard.

Got mine after 19 kills. Bad luck for a 10% drop chance, but confirming its still around for wrath classic.

Missed this on my first toon, as it isn't called out by Questie. Have gotten it on 3 alts now from the worms around Outland Sucks! quest. Not sure if it requires level 60 to drop, but I cleared all the worms at lvl 59 and didn't see it. When I've been 60+ it has dropped off the first or second worm.
