These appeared after the scourge invasion event.

After finding some credientals on the scourge you've killed, you got quests to give their families the bad news, and as a token of graditude, they share their food and drinks with you.

Purely cosmetical, and they still are a good way to make your party/raid go 'WTF how?' after a year over the invasion :P

Edit: After two years and still counting 'WTF HOW?'... :D

Looks like this has also made a comeback in the new scourge invasion. Today. I had a letter sent to me sending me to the Orphan Matron, and this is one of the things she sells.

This counts towards the Tastes Like Chicken achievement, so be sure to buy a few and eat them while you can.

Unlike the Freshly Squeezed Lemonade from the same vendors, which strangely does NOT count towards the It's Happy Hour Somewhere achievement.

Just a couple questions about how this works...

1) Do you have to have done the quests in order to buy these items from the vendor, are or they available to everyone during the scourge invasion?

2) Now that I have done the quest and "unlocked" these items, will I always be able to buy them, or do I have to buy them all now? Of course, nobody will really know the answer to this question, but I'm looking for someone who participated in the last invasion event to tell me how it worked then

Just for those who might be wondering, you can safely throw away the sealed research reports and still buy the bread/lemonade.

I got a "Sealed Research Report" from the guy I turned some papers into at the Light's Hope Chapel.

This one talked about Reuben's Ex-Wife Joanna Whitehall in the UC War Quarter. I found her and she sells "Friendship Bread" and "Freshly-Squeezed Lemonade". Never seen either before.

Weird.

After collecting letters from the scourge invasion, I got mail from the Keeper of the Rolls. One letter said that Alexander Calder and Deze Snowbane were relatives of one of the people mentioned in the letter. The other said that Zarena Cromwind was. I notice they all seem to be selling both this and the lemonade...

How odd.

The scourge invasion is "over" on the server Argent Dawn, but they keep attacking... I suspect that these poeple might actually have something else to say if you get the letters while the invasion is still on.
