These little guys can be found in the presents under the Christmas tree in Ironforge during the Christmas season. They bind when used (so you are able to sell or trade them, or give them away if you are in the Christmas spirit =]), and require 1 snowball as a reagent. The only difference between the Red Helper Box and the Green Helper Box is that the red one is female and the green one is male.

As of December 18th, 2006 these items cannot be obtained because you are not yet able to open the presents under the tree. Most likely you will need to wait until Christmas day (December 25th).

you can earn credit towards the vanity pets achievement when you learn this, even if you don't have a snowball to summon it.

One of several special pets under the tree at Christmas. They are a Snowman, Red Helper, Green Helper and Reindeer. The pets are not soulbound so if you are a pet collector you can buy the ones you didn't get from the auction house or if you have alts you can have them get a pet and send it to your main. They all count towards the achievement for getting 50 pets and getting all 4 will be a big help for the upcoming achievement to get 100 pets.

You can get it from Auction House if you didn’t get it from your present. Attention:
You will not going to find it at "Pets" category on Auction House so try to link it by the name

Does anybody know what gloves this pet is wearing? I'm trying to get an elf set for myself (gnome).

I have everything but the gloves. They are white, from the wrist to the knuckles. The fingers are exposed.

Anybody have an issue selling this little guy? I attempted to put mine on the AH and it says you can not auction items with used charges...que?

This pet will no longer requires a snowball to summon in 4.3. However, if you summon her out of season, she will emote to you and hearth back to Father Winter. Also, 8 new things she will say.

to get this you have to go to the big christmas tree in IF, open the presents under it and you should get this little guy ;)

I just noticed a clickable present under the IF Bank christmas tree today and I got this as my present. It's BoE so if it's rare it'll be expensive and it requires 1 snowball to activate.

Anyone know if snowballs will expire because I just sent 37 stacks of em to my alt/mule.

As of a recent patch (or LK?) - this item cannot be auctioned anymore... you'll get the message "CANNOT AUCTION AN ITEM WITH CHARGES"

Had a red one sitting in my bank since xmas '07 - forgot about it :)

as with all mini pets, they are for looks only.

the Red helper box brings out the scantly clad female gnome to follow you. (green is the make gnome)

And if you thought every mini pet should kill guys for you.... sorry bliz don't make kill bots for the lazy.

the mechanical greench has a 3 use limit, and most people i saw had them out dueling.
