You can obtain the green helper box under the christmas trees in the major cities on christmas.. so cute!

The only ones that I currently remember was this and Snowman Kit (https://www.cuckhead.com/cata/item=21309). I'm sure the gifts will jog my memory. Anyways, on the 25th of this month the gifts under the trees become openable to get these pets out if you have one of those snowballs. Hmm, mabye Altreac Valley's hardpack snow would take a normal snowball's place...

These little guys can be found in the presents under the Christmas tree in Ironforge during the Christmas season. They bind when used (so you are able to sell or trade them, or give them away if you are in the Christmas spirit =]), and require 1 snowball as a reagent. The only difference between the Red Helper Box and the Green Helper Box is that the red one is female and the green one is male.

As of December 18th, 2006 these items cannot be obtained because you are not yet able to open the presents under the tree. Most likely you will need to wait until Christmas day (December 25th).

Hopefully someone can answer this, will this guy actually give you any help of any kind like help you fight or get aggro? Or is he simply a small pet that requires a Snowball?

When Wotlk comes out there will be a menu thing for your vanity pets, but will this one come on that menu thing or will it stay as an item?

(just want to know cause some people say it will and some say it won't)

This item (even if unused) can't be sold in AH (as of patch 3.0.3. nov. 08).

I receive the message "You cannot auction an item with consumed charges", even if I never used mine. I'm able to send it by mail, it's not soulbond, but I can't put it in AH.

that's a known bug with almost all vanity pets. i had to get a GM to restore all my pets (after i deleted them on his say so) so he could send them back to me to allow me to AH them. if you get that message, page a GM and explain you wish to AH it and they should be able to fix the issue for you.

One of several special pets under the tree at Christmas. They are a Snowman, Red Helper, Green Helper and Reindeer. The pets are not soulbound so if you are a pet collector you can buy the ones you didn't get from the auction house or if you have alts you can have them get a pet and send it to your main. They all count towards the achievement for getting 50 pets and getting all 4 will be a big help for the upcoming achievement to get 100 pets.

Does anybody know what gloves this pet is wearing? I'm trying to get an elf set for myself (gnome).

I have everything but the gloves. They are white, from the wrist to the knuckles. The fingers are exposed.

sorry cool little guy... but making you use a stupid snowball is useless for me was a instant delete for me actually ... most all the things they gave were instant delete
I know they did not have to do that but... a reg mini pet would have been nice

This pet will no longer requires a snowball to summon in 4.3. However, if you summon him out of season, he will emote to you and hearth back to Father Winter. Also, 8 new things he will say.

Well, I just tested the present box, And an little gnome came up, He is the same level as you, but he cant attack, He just follow's you. Pretty cute anyway ^^

i got the red helper from the presents on chritmas and some idiot sold a green helper for 1g and i got it so now i have both and im gonna wait until summer to sell them in the AH for 27g each

are these items( X-Mas and Holiday ) that are NOT BoP gonna be worth some gold at some point? I believe they will, especially at that specific holiday, the prices will go wild. I remember when red x-mas outfits were on teh AH for about 30G each. So i estimate this coming x-mas they will be worth about 75-100G Easy. Any comments?

I too looted one under the tree this morning. Of course don't want to bind it in case I can sell for a lot of gold. :)

I wonder how long it'll last though, or if it will dissapear after the season is over. :(

Got one of these last year and again this year. 1 in 4 chance but got it twice in a row.

I saved up on snowballs and used it all year-round.

picked up two from under the tree... on skullcrusher server these things are up in AH fo at least 30g buyout... whether anyone is stupid enough to pay that, i dont know. but i'm keeping one for me, and one to sell later when they are rare at AH... same with some snowballs.
